Alfred "Alfie" Huston, an electrician, was the President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 213 (which would eventually become the Canadian Electrical Workers Union) from 1985-1988. He held a number of union offices including a member of Unit 2 Wiremen's Executive Board, Chairman of the Social Committee, Chairman of the Shop Steward's Committee and member of the Strike Committee.
