Scope and content
This promotional film provides a narrative on the benefits of clearcutting, the uses of British Columbian softwoods, the work of falling and bucking timber, transporting timber on logging roads and waterways with the use of logging trucks, sidewinders, and tug boats, mill processes including production of newsprint and plywood, the process of kiln drying, wildfire management, and tree breeding. Forestry practices are shown in coastal British Columbia as well as in the interior. Species of trees discussed include Spruce Pine Fir, Lodgepole Pine, and Western Red Cedar.
