Biographical history
The Greater Vancouver Water District was incorporated by the BC Legislature in 1924 and began its operatons in January, 1926. Its purpose was to supply water to Vancouver, Point Grey and South Vancouver with provisions for other municipalities to join.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of a bound scrapbook with press cuttings of G.V.W.D. calls to tender (1957-1975). The clippings record the various projects and staff members associated with the department.
