The first of two sub-files that comprise the OSC-ARC-02-001-003 - 1930s - Fires/Kelowna Mill file. Sub-file contains photographs depicting the occurrence and aftermath of two fires taking place during that era. In the 1930s S.M. Simpson Limited experienced two fires at their Manhattan Beach location: in 1937 a fire destroyed the retail shop and machine and blacksmith shops, while in 1939 another fire consumed the sawmill and veneer plant.
