Series consists of records that demonstrate the National Association of Japanese Canadian’s (NAJC's) actions at developing a strong Japanese identity in Canada predominately after the signing of the Redress Settlement in 1988, as well as developing relationships with other non-Japanese Canadian groups in Canada. Records in this series relate to the Japanese Canadian Redress Foundation (JCRF), the administration and development of funds and awards, scholarships, education programs and curriculums, special projects, forums, and workshops. This includes application forms, proposals, grant requests, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) reports and minutes of the JCRF, other reports, pamphlets, booklets, correspondence, contracts, and other records related to the NAJC’s intent on developing community relations. The series may also include some financial information, especially in terms of fundraising and budget allocation, within reports, minutes, and correspondence records found in this series.
