Meetings and Conventions

Series consists of records generated in occasion of the various meetings and conventions held, and as a result of these events. It also contains many reports of the annual meetings held in the Vancouver Section. An entire group of records is devoted to the documentation of the organization, economical and logistic, of the Pacific General Meeting 1953 held in Vancouver from 1 to 4 September. There are four General Meetings of the Institute each year. They are the Winter General Meeting, the Summer General Meeting, the Pacific General Meeting and the Fall General Meeting. The Winter Meeting is usually held in New York and the Fall Meeting usually in Chicago. The Summer Meeting, which is the Annual Business Meeting, is held in various cities around the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Meetings Reports

Series contains the section duplicate of its meeting reports: they are almost all provided in the form that the IRE Headquarters in New York provided for that purpose. According to the IRE Headquarter, at least five Section meetings had to be held each year: the report of these meetings had to be done by the section in two copies so that one could be mailed to the Secretary of the IRE in New York, while the duplicate had to be retained in the files of the Section.
