Labour History Association fonds

Fonds documents the administrative, financial and publication activities of the LHA, including the production of the film "For Twenty Cents a Day"; the slide-sound programs "These Were the Reasons..."and "Strike", both about the history of union organizing in BC; and ten issues of the journal "Labour History". Records include meeting minutes, correspondence, financial records and related material pertaining to the activities of the LHA.

Financial records and other materials.

Series documents the financial activities and various multimedia projects undertaken by and involving the LHA. Projects produced by the LHA include slide shows, a film, and the journal <i>Labour History</i>.
Series contains financial records including account statements, receipt books, ledgers, invoices, correspondence regarding financial matters and research inquiries, and miscellaneous material including blank LHA stationery and membership forms.

Correspondence and related materials.

Series consists of correspondence to and from members of the LHA, particularly Dennis Ottewell and Peter Seixas, both of whom served terms as president of the association.
Series contains general correspondence, photographic media, lesson plans, newsletters, catalogues, conference handbills, receipts, account statements, and materials related to the production of the LHA’s slide shows.

Minutes.

Series consists of the proceedings of the LHA’s meetings and associated documents, including correspondence and organizational documents.

Printed materials.

Series contains various printed materials generated or acquired by the LHA. All of the materials in the series were published by the LHA, with the exception of a single issue of <i>The History and Social Science Teacher</i>.
