Terry Fox sock

This item is a 2.5 m long fabric banner containing a printed image of Terry Fox's sock. The image is among those displayed around the Terry Fox Miracle Mile running track at Canoe Landing Park in Toronto, ON.

Digital Orca maquette

This file contains a maquette version of the Digital Orca sculpture created by Coupland. Of particular interest is the variance in the base, as it was altered in the final creation because of engineering logistics and the difference in colour of the maquette.

Draft program of New Cities Summit Paris 2012

File contains a copy of the Draft Program for the New Cities Summit Paris 2012, Held May 14-16 2012 in Paris, France. Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson spoke at the opening plenary on May 14th, where he intended to unveil the V-Pole, designed by Coupland.

Paper Nests

In 2004, Coupland produced a series of paper nests, inspired by those that wasps create. To make these nests, Coupland hand-chewed pages from two of his novels. The series contains samples of this paper in various stages of being pulped.

The Armory Show 2012 promotional materials

Coupland presented a painting (“Permanent Press Landscape”, 2012, Acrylic on Canvas) at the 2012 Armory Show in Manhattan, New York, (March 8-11, 2012) at the Art Dealers Association of Canada's booth (Pier 94, booth 829). This file contains an Armory Show Map & Show Guide, an Armory Arts Week Calendar, and a booklet on Coupland's exhibition at the ADAC booth.

This item is a maquette version of the Digital Orca sculpture created by Coupland and installed at Jack Poole Plaza in 2010.

Two reviews and an exhibition announcement

Contains printouts of two novel reviews and an exhibition announcement culled from the web: A review of Eleanor Rigby from the Guardian (October 9, 2004, another review of Eleanor Rigby from readysteadybooks.com (October 17, 2004; Natasha Tripney), and a Government of Canada public announcement for Canada House, Trafalgar Square (UK) exhibit (September 21, 2004).

Partially filled sketchbook

Contains a 5.5"x8.5" sketchbook, of which only about 15 pages have been filled, consisting mostly of calligraphy and other written material.

Button blanket label

Contains a label for a 60"x72" Multi Throw, which appears to be the blankets used for Coupland's Button Blankets.

Loonie as button

Contains a Canadian one dollar coin with two holes drilled into it, similar to button-holes.
