The fonds consists of records pertaining to the administration of the cannery. It includes financial statements, correspondence, invoices, registers, vouchers and facilities reports. Several files contain items created by the Wales Island Cannery but incorporated into the fonds.

Fonds consists of records generated in the course of the merger and in the first months of life of the IEEE (1962-1963), as well as of the documentation of the two previous societies which constitute two sub-fonds: IRE (1950-1963) and AIEE (1911-1963). The fonds consists of minutes of meetings, as well as of annual report and publications and is arranged in three series: series one dealing with minutes of meetings (1963), series two consisting of annual report (1062-1963) and series three being a miscellanea of publications and leaflets (1960-1963). The sub-fonds IRE and AIEE are subdivided in numerous series.

The fonds consists of handwritten notes, typescripts of poetry by Mackay, a notebook with clippings and correspondence.

Records pertain largely to Youngs acquisition and use of his British Columbia mineral claims during the early 1950s through to the early 1960s. Claims that Young acquired located near Lillooet, and were called the Anita, Sunrise and Margaret mineral claims. Claims acquired near Kamloops, and were called the Speed, Puzzle, and Last Chance mineral claims, and consisted of sodium carbonate and magnesium sulphate lakes. The records consist largely of correspondence, particularly between Young and Gilbert Spears and Young and those who sold him the mineral claims, but also with lawyers and potential clients such as pharmaceutical companies, timber plants, salt plants, and rubber plants. Records also include contracts and other legal documents. Eight photographs are contained in the file regarding the acquisition of the Basque salt lakes.
A small amount of records pertain to the production of a Christmas film in 1952 called Bethlehem, designed by an associate of Youngs. Young and his associate hoped to sell the filmstrip to the National Film Board with the potential for creating future films for them, and the images to a card company with the aim of making Christmas cards from them. Records consist of correspondence and a script.
The fonds is arranged into two series: Mineral Claims series, and Filmstrip series. The Mineral Claims series contains 6 files: Basque lakes, 1951-1952; Business correspondence, 1951-1953; Reports and contracts, 1952-1956; Spears Correspondence, 1958-1959; Business and Spears Correspondence, 1958-1959; Business and Spears Correspondence, 1958-1961. The Filmstrip series contains one file.

The fonds consists of diaries, photographs, and correspondence of Janet Jenkins. The photographs parallel the diaries and correspondence in documenting her life. Also included is a postscript to the diaries written by her husband, Trevor Jenkins in 1991.

The fonds consists of business correspondence (1927-1943), legal documents, a playbill and the script for "Left Turn", a handwritten article on Western Canadian Universities for the Canadian Forum (1930), and assorted clippings. It also includes five scrapbooks.

The fonds contains 14 of John Smiths diaries, starting on July 14th, 1892, and running until December 19th, 1949. (There are no diaries for the periods between March 1, 1901 to May 31, 1903 or February 24, 1912 to December 31 1922.) The first diary records his emigration to Canada and purchase of his homestead. The rest record daily activities and weather conditions relating to operation of his farm, the community, and family life.;A separate diary was kept by Smith when he traveled to the Yukon from March 15 to August 31, 1898. This diary was transcribed by his daughter Olga in the late 1940s. In 1952 this diary was published in the British Columbia Historical Quarterly, with an introduction and annotations by Walter N. Sage. The diary was thought to have been donated to the provincial archives, although no record of the donation exists. A copy of the published article by Sage is included in the fonds. During Smiths absence, his wife Rose maintained the diary recording the daily events of their homestead. The fonds also contains four letters patent appointing Smith to public office, and one letters patent rescinding one of these appointments.

The fonds consists of the texts of two of Telford's radio broadcasts (1935) about socialism and materials collected pertaining to the Joseph McCarthy investigations of Corliss Lamont in 1953.

The fonds consists of a typescript genealogy of the Elliot family of Swaledale (Yorkshire). It includes typewritten copies of family correspondence and some handwritten additions to the text.

The collection consists of diaries (1909-1922, 1924-1961), notebooks, copies of sermons, and miscellaneous materials related to Shimizu’s religious work and personal life. Many of the documents reflect his involvement with church congregations and Japanese-Canadian relations.

The fonds consists of photographs, documents and unpublished material relating to Swan's career and achievements, to the construction of light railways overseas during World War I, and to the construction of bridges, grain elevators, railway branch lines and other facilities in British Columbia.

The fonds consists of correspondence of the Weekly Gazette with its clientele for 1918.

The fonds consists of a diary which dates from 1910 to 1912 and from 1935. Also included in the fonds is a journal of "Books Lent" (1915-1955) and a leaflet (1946) from the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company.

The fonds consists chiefly of Wiliam Hale White's correspondence with family and friends, manuscript notebooks of his books, published and unpublished manuscripts, subject files, clippings, and bound pamphlets on a variety of philosophical and religous topics. The fonds also contains the correspondence of Dorothy Vernon White as well as notebook manuscripts of her books and the correspondence of Cecily Hale-White (daughter of John Hale White).

The fonds consists of minutes and membership rolls (1911-1925).

The majority of the collection relates to mining in the Sandon, B.C. community and surrounding areas. Documents relating to mining claims and claim disputes are prevalent. Other records include financial books and receipts, business and personal correspondence, newspaper clippings, other legal records and court rulings, leases, payroll records, numerous receipts and invoices and various corporate documents.
Each of Harris’ businesses, Hotel Reco, Reco Mining and Milling Company, Sandon Water Works and Light Company, Star Mining and Milling Company, Slocan Power Company, and Wonderful Mines are represented in this collection. In addition there are records from the British Columbia Mining Association and the Silver-Lead Miners Association of British Columbia.

The W.B. Bailey series and the Clarence Cunningham series are relatively small. The Cunningham records include only financial records ca. 1916 to 1919, and newspaper clippings from 1939. The Bailey records are a grouping of telegrams from 1901 to 1902 with a complete inventory of each supplied by Mr. Barlee.

The fonds consists of thirteen series of records pertaining to the activities of Thomas Berger, including two series of files arranged with reference to file classification schemes, related to party politics and to the Sardar Sarovar Projects Independent Review, as well as eleven series of subject files generally arranged alphabetically, related to the Royal Commission on Family and Children’s Law, the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline Inquiry, the Advisory Commission on Indian and Inuit Health Consultation, a proposed United Nations Environmental Programme inquiry on whales and whaling, Japanese Canadians’ redress, the Alaska Native Review Commission, the Canadian Judicial Council and its investigation concerning Berger, the University of British Columbia President’s Ad Hoc Committee on British Columbia Native Indian People and Communities, the Simon Fraser University J. S. Woodsworth Chair committee, speeches given by Berger (arranged by event in subseries of two to seven year periodic groups), and subject files related to aboriginal peoples, the Arctic and the north in general.
There are also files related to his resignation from the Supreme Court of Canada in 1981. The files were used by Berger when he wrote his autobiography <em>One Man’s Justice: A Life in the Law</em>.

The arrangement by the records’ creator of series and file order within series has been respected. Several series contain files housed in multiple folders, indicated by notes where applicable.

Fonds consists of legal documents, reports, publications, speeches, newspaper clippings and other material related to Evans’ labour activities, including the On-to-Ottawa Trek and resulting Regina Riot Commission, and the defence of Trek members arrested in the Regina Riot. There is also material related to the Canadian Labour Defence League, the Communist Party of Canada, and material in support of the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War.

The fonds consists of literary correspondence, drafts of literary work, published books and articles, reviews of Drabek’s work, printed material accumulated for research purposes, a small amount of personal correspondence and family papers and some newspaper photographs of Drabek.

There is a series comprising material Drabek created through his administrative role as a representative to the Writers’ Union of Canada, BC Caucus and as President of the Federation of BC Writers, in addition to his work as a writer. It contains minutes of meeting, correspondence, newsletters, and other material.

This fonds consists of 12 series; meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, welfare funds, videos, regulations and legislation, related organizations, general business records, land referrals, herring (roe), financial, First Nations, and salmon. Each of the series relates to the F.V.O.A.'s work with fishing and water concerns. The same issues defined within each of these series are also documented through the newspaper clippings. The minutes span over 40 years, beginning in 1938, and include general, committee, director's and membership meetings. The fonds also includes copies of legislation and regulations relating to various fishing and water related concerns, such as ports and harbours, maritime codes, vessel construction, shipping, and research. The F.V.O.A.'s ongoing cooperative work with relevant outside groups is documented through numerous drafts, proposals, agreements, reports, and correspondence. The videos are of the Skeena River Steelhead, Salmon, the Sportfish Observer Program and First Nations fishing rights. There is a large amount of land referral material (the application for use of Crown land) including several maps. With reference directly to fish; there is information on herring (roe) related issues, and a significant amount of documents covering Salmon. A vast portion of the Salmon series deals with Canadian-U.S. negotiations regarding poaching, water boundaries, salmon shares, runs and catches. The fonds provides overall insight into the workings of the F.V.O.A.

Fonds consists primarily of correspondence, published materials, and other documentation related to Potrebenko's writing career and publications. Also included are materials she accumulated in relation to her involvement with local labour activism.

The fonds contains records related to the activities of Douglas Mulhall in his capacity as member of Greenpeace Canada and as a member of the Greenpeace International, Stichting Greenpeace Council between 1979 and 1986. Records consists of extensive correspondences, minutes of the meetings and annual reports from various committees and councils on which Mulhall served, financial reports and other records related to the fiscal management of the Stiching Greenpeace Council and the Greenpeace’s national offices, as well as newspaper clippings, annotated journal publications, and photographs, which document Greenpeace’s administrative activities as well as its various environmental campaigns.

The fonds is arranged into the following the following series, Personal administrative records (1985-1990), Minutes of council and trustee meetings (1979-1990), Campaign records (1987-1989), Greenpeace International service records (1987), Organizational development records (1987-1990), Fundraising records (1987-1988), and International foundation for survival and development of humanity records (1988), and the following sous-fonds Greenpeace Canada (1980-1986).

Fonds consists of research compiled by art historian and curator Patricia Ainslie. The research relates to both her published writing and her curatorial work at the Glenbow museum in Calgary, AB. Materials include research notes; photocopies of articles and images; correspondence with artists, other curators, and archival institutions; planning documents and lists; photographs of artists and artwork; interviews on audio cassette, DVD, and as transcripts; manuscripts for some of her published work; and exhibition pamphlets.

The fonds consists of files relating to activities of the Canadian Radio League, the first Alan B. Plaunt Memorial Lecture, 1958 and other materials on the origins of public broadcasting in Canada.

This fonds consists mainly of records assembled by McPherson over the course of his professional career. Material documenting McPhersons wartime activities predominates. The fonds contains two sous-fonds. One of these includes a scrapbook and from McPhersons father, Ewan. The other contains research, correspondence and interviews conducted by Kay Alsop in the mid 1990s. Alsop, a prominent Vancouver journalist, intended to write a biography of McPherson but was never able to find a publisher for the book. Alsop therefore decided to donate some of her research files as part of the McPherson fonds. The Alsop Sous-Fonds contains important records which McPherson had given to her, particularly those documenting the decision to intern Japanese-Canadians.
