Series consists of musical scores, notes, sketches, concert programs, DVDs, and audio CDs pertaining to three distinct pieces composed by Lori Freedman: Reimsix, To The Bridge, and Concerto Now and Then. Each piece is unique and pertains to a specific era during Freedman’s long musical career. Reimsix was composed by Freedman in 2011 for the flute, clarinet, violin, cello, percussion and piano. To The Bridge was composed in 2014 for bass clarinet (clarinet in B-flat) and voice. This piece is composed of five miniatures connected by four bridges, hence the naming of the song. The bridge is where the miniatures arrive or depart from a place. Freedman explains her perspective as, “playing music is equally about composition as it is about interpretation and the spontaneous combination of the two — improvisation.” With this piece, Freedman wants to focus on the interconnection between the composer, the performer and the audience. Concerto Now and Then was composed in 2020 for any five musicians. It has previously been performed with a violin, clarinet, cello, alto saxophone, and double bass.

The series consists of handwritten and typed drafts and manuscripts of McWhirter's novels. The material is arranged into published and unpublished material. In addition, the accrual in 2020 contains "Too Tall for You," an annotated synopsis of a current project.

The Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection includes textual records, photographs, and a variety of audio-visual materials organized into sous-fonds by creator. The Collection is predominantly textual records; the majority of materials are correspondence and manuscripts, many of which have been microfilmed.

The core of the Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection is the Malcolm Lowry Papers, and the content of the Collection is consequently thematic. Materials pertaining to Malcolm Lowry’s life and works were collected by RBSC from a variety of sources, including Lowry’s friends and family.

The fonds consists of records which document books and ephemera published by Rollin Milroy’s three printing presses: A Lone Press, Heavenly Monkey, and Heavenly Monkey Editions, as well as other independent and collaborative projects published by other printing presses. The records include setting copies, detailed layout schematics, dummies of final books, printing schedule sequences, proof impressions, make-ready copies, and various impression proof and waste/reject sheets, as well as printing blocks and printing plates, photographs, negatives and other documents related to the printing and publication process. The fonds also includes correspondence related to the production and publication of books, ephemera, newspaper articles and lecture notes written by Milroy on various subjects related to letterpress printing.

The fonds is arranged into the following five series: Heavenly Monkey publishing records, (1997-2010), Heavenly Monkey Editions publishing records (2002 – 2010), Other printing press publishing records (1996-2008), Correspondence (2002-2010), and Professional activity records (ca. 1980-2004).

This series collects albums that created by Lee throughout her life. The albums are primarily thematic in nature and reflect Lee’s connections to political and community groups, her hairdressing career, and her personal life with her family and friends.
In addition to photos of Lee herself, there are many photographs that feature her triplets; politicians and celebrities that Lee encountered throughout her life including Grace McCarthy, Bill Van Der Zalm, and their families; and members of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society and Vancouver Chinese Canadian Activity Centre groups.

The series is divided into two subseries, Textual Materials and Electronic Backups. Textual materials consist of manuscripts of novels and short stories. The arrangement, primarily chronological by published work, also reflects two peculiarities of his writing style. First, he labelled some as the final draft prematurely rather than numbering successive drafts. Some of his novels, therefore, have several "final" drafts. As best as possible, these have been arranged in chronological order. Also, during the creative process and modification of draft versions, Maillard created what he calls "spin-off," including ideas that are developed on the side but never added into storyboards developing the arrangement of the scenes and pages removed from a draft version. Other segments of the spin-off are unidentifiable beyond the novel to which they belong; these have been given a letter designation (A, B, C) to indicate which files were found together. The letter does not imply any sense of order, chronological or otherwise. Spin-offs with uncertain chronology have been filed at the end of each manuscript sub-series with specific research notes and related miscellaneous files. Some files contain UBC-related correspondence. The electronic backup consists of copies of the textual materials.

Predominantly, the series consists of records relating to the long-running Birth Weight Project. However, in all these projects, Ward sought to understand the history of human welfare and its social determinants.

Subseries consists of research and materials relating to Ward's book The Clean Body: A Modern History published by McGill-Queen's University Press in November 2019. This book represents a synthesis of scholarship on the history and development of personal hygiene in Canada, Europe, and the U.S. Types of records in the sub-series include journal article photocopies, research notes, correspondence, publicity materials, manuscript copies, and chapter drafts of the book. Photocopied documents retained by the archivist include some sort of annotations by Ward. This project included some digital-born materials saved by Ward on a USB removable memory drive. Records saved as files on the drive included various journal articles or chapters in addition to a master bibliography for the project created in the software EndNote. Other *file formats included are Microsoft Word Documents (.docx and .doc), Microsoft Excel Documents (.xlsx and .xls) and PDFs.

Some of the records in this subseries are in Italian, French, and German.

The fonds consists of records relating to the teaching, research and supervision work of Edmond Granirer. The records in this fonds include published math articles, correspondence with colleagues and organizations, lecture notes and presentations on Algebra given around the world. There are also records of his early career in the US and student evaluations of his classes. Also in the fonds are newspaper clippings, reports, programs and photographs. The records have been divided into four series Career Records, Published Papers, Lectures and Conferences, and Correspondence.
