Fonds consists of materials documenting the early history of UBC’s Alpha Tau Omega (or ATO) fraternity, and later reunions among its alumni members, and includes correspondence, copies of photographs, publications, songsheets, and membership information.

The fonds consists of documentation regarding specific courses, accreditation, correspondence, surveys, interdepartmental memoranda, sample student work, and brochures. Most of the documentation originates from the office of Engineering Physics under the directorship of Prof. Edward Auld. Dr. Jon Nakame accumulated the CEAB Accreditation materials. In general, these documents reflect the Director of Engineering Physics' role and interests, and specifically Prof. Edward Auld. They underscore Engineering Physics' relationship to the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Faculty of Applied Science.
The first series consists of files that were collected and organized chronologically by Engineering Physics. Subsequent series include documentation regarding specific courses within Engineering Physics and documentation relating to the accreditation of Engineering Physics by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board during the 1990s and 2000s. There are 350 prints and 260 negatives included in the Photographs series, most of which were taken in the 1990s.

The fonds consists of administrative files maintained in the office of the Co-ordinator of Health Sciences. The minutes, reports, correspondence, and photographs record the establishment and development of the Health Sciences Centre and the Hospital. A large number of the files relate to the activities of the divisions, committees and teaching/research facilities of Health Sciences. Fonds comprised of six series: Establishment and development of the Health Sciences Centre (1959-1970), Office of the Coordinator of Health Sciences (1959-1986), Reference reports (1953-1987), British Columbia Medical Centre (1973-1976), Miscellaneous (1976-1982) and Photographs.

The records of this fonds were created by the Boag Foundation offices. Contents include historical files, administrative records, accounting and financial documents and project files relating to the activities of the foundation.

Fonds consists of certificate of incorporation, board meeting minutes and those of some constituent committees, annual reports, education, marketing, and outreach materials, and digital photography of experimentation sites extracted from optical disc. Print photographs depict locations relevant to the Becker Project and a group portrait. The fonds contains reference material that predates the formation of the corporate creator.

The fonds consists of material related to Emerson's career in radio and to his involvement in Canadian (Vancouver) radio and musical theatre, principally during the 1950s and early 1960s. It includes scripts and notes for various radio programs which Emerson hosted and in which he was involved. The fonds also includes musical scores, programmes, manuscripts, and lyrics from his musical theatre work; newspaper and magazine clippings of reviews and articles making mention of Emerson and his acquaintances; and miscellaneous non-textual materials including a photograph and two 45 rpm audio discs.

Fonds consists of material created by Saltzman, primarily in relation to the various productions in broadcasting he was a part of. Material has been arranged in nine series: Early Career series, Mid-Career series, Canada AM and “701” series, General Career and Personal series, ACTRA series, Meteorology material series, Order of Canada series, Audiovisual series, and Photographs series.

Fonds consists of textual records and published materials produced or acquired by Keith Ralston primarily through his historical research and other professional activities, along with a small selection of personal materials. It is arranged in the following ten series, which largely reflect how the records arrived in their original order: Department of History, Thesis, Dictionary of Canadian Biography, Cowichan Fishing Case, Public Record Office, Hudson’s Bay Company Research, Research, Associations, Personal, and Day Books.

The fonds consists of biographical material, correspondence, files relating to the teaching of geography, copies of articles and reprints, and speeches. The fonds also includes an undated manuscript entitled Freedom in Africa, photographs and audiotapes. There is also a small series of records relating to the College and Faculty of Education (1956-1972).

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds consists records relating to Dr. Joan Ford’s medical career and personal life, with records including handwritten notes, letters and correspondence, newspapers, photographs, official degrees and awards, administrative reports, and a coin. Files often contain multiple record types within them. Dr. Ford dedicated her medical career to helping those in need, including traveling to Nepal, Dominica, and Bangladesh all while managing her own medical practice in Burnaby. She has served in various capacities on numerous boards and professional organizations including the Federation of Medical Women of Canada, Save the Children, the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation, and the Trans-Himalayan Aid Society. She has received numerous awards and recognitions in her lifetime, but for her dedication to the global health community, she was appointed as an officer in the Order of Canada. Her personal interests included her family, Canadian history, and nature.

The fonds consists of the original typescript and proofs of Trial of a City and drafts and page proofs of Turvey. The manuscripts date from 1948 to 1952. Included is some correspondence between Birney and Stephen Vicinczey and a poem that Birney submitted to Vicinczey's magazine Exchange.

The fonds consists of a curriculum vitae, incoming and outgoing correspondence, lecture notes, course syllabi, speeches and papers, book reviews, lists of Howes publications, surveys, application forms for grants and academic leaves, research notes, committee minutes, photographs and architectural drawings. The fonds consists of 10 series: Personal Records, Correspondence, Course Materials, Conferences and Seminars, Asian Studies Department, Book Reviews, Professional Papers, Research Materials, Subject Files and Photographs. The records were organized according to either Howes original filing system or to its overall contents.

Fonds consists of reports and printed material from the Fraser River Model Project (1948-1963) acquired from Dr. Pretious and the Applied Science Reading Room. The classification system is Pretious's own. The records were maintained in the order they were received.

The fonds consist of 15 incoming letters from Ethel Johns (1948-1950, 1961-1965), Director of Nursing Services and Education at Vancouver General Hospital, and the new nursing program at UBC. Under Johns' guidance, the five-year plan established the B.Sc. in Nursing. The fonds also include biographical information and records relating to Flanagan's various awards, including an honorary doctorate from McGill University (1977).

The fonds consists of three series, Discontinued Awards (1979-1999), Statistical Data (1975-1992), and Active Awards (1948-1993). The latter series includes substantial records of the Mackenzie King Scholarship Programme.

The fonds consists of two bound sets of records kept by W.J. Anderson who served as department head from 1949 to 1964. The first binder is composed of departmental administrative records, including memos, correspondence, personnel information and committee reports. The second set of material includes correspondence, memos and reports about Graduate Studies from 1951 to 1963.

The fonds consists of miscellaneous files from George Pickard's office (1949-1974), including records from the Canadian Committee on Oceanography (1960-1972). The bulk of the records are composed of departmental files including correspondence, grant material, and financial records. There is also a comprehensive set of oceanographic log sheets containing data collected between 1951 and 1978.

There are also materials from Morehart’s personal life, including artwork, which consists primarily of several canvas boards and other flat materials, and personal correspondence. Folder names are primarily taken from original folders. This fonds also contains records of the Dal Grauer Lecture Series. The fonds is arranged in five series: Administrative, General Lectures, J.V. Clyne Lectures, Audio Tape and Photographs.

The fonds consists of correspondence (primarily with E.A. Lloyd and Michael Lerner), published material of Igor Kosin (former student and expert in Russian literature), a typewritten manuscript by Biely entitled "Poultry Research - A Personal Experience (1928-1978)", and undated high school correspondence course outlines.

The fonds consists of records generated by various university committees (1949-1973) relating broadly to campus development. Topics include botanical garden policy, buildings and grounds, campus development and planning, landscape development, totem poles, and university housing.

Fonds consists primarily of textual materials related to Herring's forestry career. Materials related to his extensive interest in the forestry industry are also present, including documents related to various lectures and conferences in which he participated. Materials include correspondence, reference materials, maps, blueprints, financial documents, handwritten notes, and more.

Also included in the fonds are photographs, slides, and moving images; some of these are images related to forestry, while most show scenes related to Herring's personal interests and travels, many of which involve hunting and fishing, or attending Highland games and other cultural celebrations and events.

This fonds is arranged into three series that track Symonds' various roles as an urban planning professional. The Urban Education/Teacher in the City series contains records created or received by Symonds while she served in the Continuing Education department at UBC, including her seminal effort to publish The Teacher and the City. The second series, Commissions and Committee Work, details Symonds' service on the Vancouver City Planning Commission and other planning-related committees she chaired or participated in for both the local B.C. context and internationally. The final series, Planning Publications, Speeches, and Writings, focuses on writings or pieces created by Symonds or publications she set aside for her purposes. These date from the early beginnings of her urban planning career in the 1950s to well after her retirement in 1983. The records included in the fonds are correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, journal articles, newspaper clippings, brochures, memoranda, reports and invitations.

Fonds includes sixty-one literary works dating from 1969 to 2011, including screenplays, teleplays, manuscripts of novels, and non-fiction work along with accompanying correspondence, notes, press, research, photographs, and recordings. Scripts include both produced and unproduced projects. Also included is a small collection of personal material such as drawings and biographical materials with obituaries and tributes for Hunter.

Fonds consists of reports and published and unpublished material which reflect his anthropological interests particularly in the areas of religion and mythology. Fonds also includes Burridge's B. Litt. thesis (1950) and Ph.D. thesis (1953), as well as some recordings of his class lectures given from 1986-1987 recorded by anthropology student Lindy-Lou Flynn.

The fonds consists of copies of graduate and undergraduate theses supervised by Duncan as well as numerous reports that he authored.

The fonds consists of photographic negatives which depict the logging operations of the Englewood Logging Division of Canadian Forest Products in the Nimpkish Valley. The fonds consists of two series: the Roma Research series and a Publications series composed of copies of Cohn's publications. The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).

The fonds consists of records related to Simons’ writing career, travels, and personal life. Records span a period from Simons’ early years in university to 2012 and were created predominantly in Vancouver, British Columbia. Some records were created during Simons’ travels in England, France, Japan, Hong Kong, India, and Burma. The fonds comprises the following three series: Literary Works; Professional and Personal Records; and Travel Records.

The Literary Works series features drafts of Simons’ literary works in various genres, particularly drama (stage, radio, and film) and fiction (for children and adults). Record types include publications, drafts (typed, handwritten, and hand-annotated), outlines, notes, research materials for projects, several recordings of Simons’ works, and large poster boards Simons used for plotting one of her fiction projects.

The Professional and Personal Records series contains records related to the administration and management of Simons’ literary career, particularly her attempts to submit work to various publishers and producers, mount productions of her dramatic works, and secure adequate financial resources to sustain her writerly practice. Administrative records are frequently mixed physically with Simons’ personal correspondence to family and friends. Record types include drafts of Simons’ curriculum vitae, grant applications, professional and personal correspondence, professional photographs, and contracts.

The Travel Records series aggregates records from Simons’ three major trips: Europe from 1959-1961; Japan, Hong Kong, and India from 1967-1968; and Hong Kong, Burma, India, and Japan in 1986. Simons attended many plays, conferences, and art shows while traveling and preserved programs as a source of inspiration for her creative work. Simons also maintained correspondence with friends and family during her travels. Record types include programs, personal and professional correspondence, personal photographs, and Simons’ notes on various activities.

The collection consists of correspondence, printed material and clippings which document the early history of the International House movement on campus in the early 1950s. At that time, William Black was acting as faculty advisor to the International House Committee.

The collection consists of miscellaneous records of the Western Canada Art Circuit generated between 1950 and 1970. It includes correspondence, reports, minutes of annual meetings, financial statements, and published materials (in particular exhibit catalogues).

The fonds consists of screenplays, manuscripts, drafts, notes, and correspondences relating to Jacob Zilber's published and unpublished materials. The fonds also includes biographical and autobiographical material, clippings, teaching records and course materials. The archivist restored the original order where it was definitive. However, Ecological Reserve Applications 1-39 can be found scattered throughout the supporting records series. The original record keeper appears to have created a filing system beginning at the Ecological Reserve Application 40 (Petitot Rivers).

The fonds consists of draft copies and research notes for Pilton's M.A. thesis.

The fonds consists primarily of Alan Haig-Brown's written and photographic works on the marine industry in Canada and internationally. Photographs document ships and boats, maritime scenes and personalities in fishing and ship-building. The geographical scope of the photographs includes British Columbia, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii; Southern Coastal US (Texas and Louisiana); Thailand, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines; Netherlands; Brazil.

Textual records include annotated drafts for several of Haig-Brown's books, hand-written notes, newspaper clippings, design schematics and correspondence.

The fonds also contains audio recordings of interviews and oral histories with figures in the maritime trades.

There is a series comprising material Drabek created through his administrative role as a representative to the Writers’ Union of Canada, BC Caucus and as President of the Federation of BC Writers, in addition to his work as a writer. Fonds consists of items that illustrate some of the Classics Club's activities and includes annual programmes, correspondence, and posters and programmes for productions of Greek plays.

The fonds consists of copies of bylaws and constitutions, executive minutes (1951-1964), presidential reports (1954-1964), membership lists (1954-1964), correspondence (1959-1964) and assorted newsletters, clippings and printed material. Also included are small series of records generated by affiliate organizations including International House Association Inc., International House and Friendly Relations with Overseas Students' Council.

Fonds consists primarily of the working files and other materials of Geoffrey Smedley, together with some personal records. The materials include notebooks, drawings, written notes, correspondence, photographs, biographical and professional information, exhibition catalogues and other published items, and reference materials, in both hardcopy and digital media. They are organized in the following series: Notebooks, Works, Correspondence, Professional/Biographical, House and Studio, Grants and Awards, Reference and Research, Photographs, and Digital Media.

Fonds consists of 20 cm of textual material, bound and unbound, and five photographs. They are organized by subject and document Harlow’s tenure as UBC’s University Librarian.

Fonds consists of textual records documenting the programmes and activities of the Department of Pathology, and the Departmentʹs relationships with other organizations. These records include minutes, correspondence, course outlines and related materials, and reports. The records are arranged in the following series: Minutes, Department Head, Courses, Buildings and Facilities, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, and General.

The collection consists of twenty-two UBC Football programs collected by Bob Hindmarch from 1951-1992. The file also contains an article by Athletics Historian Fred Hume on Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip's first football game and a short biography of Dr. Bob Hindmarch.
The second box was donated separately. The greatest extent of materials includes photographs. Also included is a folder of research materials, including newspaper clippings a VHS on Thunderbirds in China, 1974. As well as a DVD of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame, 2012 and a Hall of Fame Hockey Plaque presented to Hindmarch on that occasion.
