Minutes of the Prince Rupert local and Great Northern Railway Section of Dock Employees for locals 501 and 507 are included. Subject files contain information on foremen's disputes and other strikes. The tapes consist of Canadian Area convention proceedings and caucus meetings. The cassette tapes were generated by an oral history project carried out by members of the ILWU Local 500 which led to a publication entitled "Man Along the Shore".

The fonds consists of correspondence (1916-1952) and legal records (1910- 1952) pertaining to the fishing operations of J.H. Todd and Sons, Ltd. These include records of subsidiary companies: Klemtu Cannery Ltd. (1927- 1938), Provincial Cannery Company Ltd. (1917-1939), Sooke Harbour Fishing and Packing Company (1937-1953), and Western Fishing Company (1945-1950), relating to their fishing operations. There are also pilot diaries, payroll sheets, ledgers, plans and blueprints.

The maps are both historic and those drawn up by Harris for his trips, incorporating old trails on current maps. They are organized according to a personal classification system maintained by R.C. Harris. The fonds consists of the minute books of various locals that are now part of the Local 40 (1910-1966), handbooks (1949-1951), two minute books of locals (1961-1973), minute book of Local Joint Executive Board (1958-1974), meeting roster (1972-1976) and weekly time books for staff, Local 619 (1965-1970). The fonds also includes photographs, clippings, two office files on union activities, copy of a report on the B.C. Hotel Industry (1978) and clippings and leaflets concerning election (1981). Some of the locals were located in Nanaimo, Nelson, New Westminster, Port Alberni, Vancouver and Victoria. Fonds includes a sound cassette of an interview of Jim Morrison on the history of HREU locals 28 and 40.

The fonds consists of ninety-four original watercolours of British Columbian life, mainly of social life, customs, and dress in Hudson's Bay Company posts and along various transportation routes (1874-1880). Sketch book includes four photographs of Fort McLeod, Stuart Lake and the artist. An accrual to the fonds fonds consists of artwork and a published memoir of H. Bullock-Webster. The artworks depict scenes from the daily life Bullock-Webster experienced managing the trade post in Northern British Columbia in the late 19th century. Nine original pieces are included along with ca. 35 clippings of artwork, comics, and illustrations published in The Graphic magazine. The included memoir, entitled, Memories of Sports and Travel Fifty Years Ago: From the Hudson’s Bay Company to New Zealand, contains the author’s account of his young adulthood in Britain, his work for the Hudson Bay Company, and his emigration to New Zealand, along with several illustrations by the author.
