The fonds consists of minutes of the Board of Directors, annual general meetings, spring and fall meetings, Vancouver Island regional meetings as well as circulars, memoranda, and reports, 1973-1978.

The fonds consists of eleven manuscripts of poetry and two prose manuscripts. Of the poetry, Lilith is unbound and Sons of the Sun is handwritten. The two prose manuscripts are My Dream Garden and Twilight Stories.

The fonds consists of audio cassettes of interviews (100) with a variety of personalities (79) from the fields of entertainment, politics, and the professions relating to their careers and issues of the day recorded on radio talk show programmes at KSFO San Francisco (1), CKNW Vancouver (57), KGO San Francisco (10), CJOR Vancouver (23), WNIS Norfolk (3), XRA San Diego (5), and KCBS San Francisco (1) from 1960 to 1990. Some of the tapes include questions from listeners to the talk show guests. The people interviewed by Art Finley included some of the prominent personalities and newsmakers of the 1970s and early 1980s: Mohammed Ali, Joan Baez, Bill Graham, Germaine Greer, Henry Heimlich, Yousuf Karsh, John Lennon, Henry Morgentaler, Huey Newton, Pierre Trudeau, and Gore Vidal.

The fonds consists of photocopied minute books of the Finnish Workers' Association "Raivaija" (1910-1918), Finnish Organization of Canada, Local No. 55 (1934-1969), and Webster's Corner Socialist Local (1922-1955). The fonds also includes photocopies of financial records of Local No. 55 (1949-1957) and of subject files pertaining to the development of the Finnish culture in Canada.

The fonds consists of minutes, financial records, negotiations and agreements, speeches and subject files generated by the Fisheries Association. The subject files include information on the activities of the Association including labour, safety, pollution, resources, waste water and licence limitations. The material was primarily generated during the period 1955 to 1975, except for minutes of the Salmon Canners' Operating Committee (1943-1948), agreements (1946-1956) and one subject file on the Native Brotherhood of B.C. (1947-1958).

The fonds consists of correspondence, a scrapbook, minutes, historical collections including ships' logs and the Harry Allison papers. Fonds includes photographs of the Fisherman Publishing Society, depicting labour and union activity, fish and fishing vessels, and the men and women who worked in the fishing industry.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, case files, convention material and other textual records relating to the activities of the Food and Service Workers of Canada Union and its predecessor unions, the Canadian Food and Associated Services Union and the White Spot Employees Union.

The fonds consists of maps of British Columbia. The maps detail property which the company handled in the B.C. Interior and Vancouver Island.

The fonds consists of correspondence, subject files and photograph albums pertaining to the Fullers' professional careers, labour activities and personal lives. The fonds also contains materials which reflect the activities of the Labour History Provincial Specialist Association of the BCTF and the Sechelt Indian Curriculum Project and a film, "For Twenty Cents a Day".

The fonds consists of photocopies of minute books of the Gay Alliance Toward Equality (1971-1980), photocopies of selected items in the files of the organization and a list of files created by G.A.T.E. The fonds consists of two series: Administrative Files and Subject Files. The Administrative Files series consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, financial statements, and the constitution and policies and principles guidelines for the organization. The Subject Files series contains files of a variety of subjects with which the Gay Alliance Toward Equality dealt.

The fonds consists of photographs and negatives from the Georgia Straight newspaper photograph files, depicting demonstrations, conflicts, picnics, concerts, musicians, celebrities and other events and individuals.

The fonds consists of minute books, subject files, and clippings (1930-1962).

The fonds consists of records generated by the Lower Mainland Regional Planning Board (1949-1969) and its successor, the Greater Vancouver Regional District Planning Department. It includes correspondence, minutes of meetings, studies, surveys, briefs, discussion papers, reports, plans, maps, graphs and clippings.

Fonds contains 171 letters from Tom McEwen spanning the decades from 1944 to 1976, and 4 letters from his wife, Rose McEwen; her sister, Anne Belenkaya; and Norman McEwen, Tom and Rose’s son, and his family. Lily Greene remained friends with both Tom and his family for many years, so the letters are mostly of a personal nature but many contain discussions of, or references to, issues important to the Communist Party in Canada and elsewhere, including Tom’s observations of and opinions on events occuring both at home and internationally, like the Vietnam war.

There are 22 photographs of Tom McEwen and various family members, as well as copies of photographs of Lily’s children. A clippings file contains an assortment of newspaper clippings, some columns and opinion pieces written by Tom McEwen, with the majority on issues or events concerning a member of the McEwen family. The clippings cover the period from 1950 through to 2000.

The fonds also contains two essays written by Tom McEwen and an audiocassette of a talk he gave in 1974 to a Grade 11 class taught by his grandson, Harry Ewen. The cassette also contains a recording of a CBC program “This Morning” that aired in 2000 and which incorporated that lecture as part of the program.

The fonds is contained in its entirety in Box #1 (Files 1-33) and Box #2 (Files 1-4).

The collection consists of correspondence, field notes and printed material relating to the Romani people and essays and vocabulary manuscripts about the Romani of Washington State.

The collection consists of several of Roderick Haig-Brown's manuscripts as well as editors' working papers and printers' proofs of a number of his articles and other publications. In addition, there are reviews of his writings and magazine articles about him as well as incoming and outgoing correspondence. The collection also includes correspondence, manuscripts, financial records, and subject and clippings files related to Valerie Haig-Brown's work as literary executor of the estate of her father and as author of Deep Currents, a biography of her parents.

The fonds consists of biographical material relating to Roderick Haig-Brown, correspondence (1928-1976), manuscripts of prose, articles, speeches, and broadcasts by Haig-Brown and others (circa 1926-1976), as well as clippings of prose, articles, speeches, printed materials, subject files, scrapbooks, and maps. The fonds also includes Haig-Brown's magistrate's notes and notebooks, financial records, and almost one thousand photographic negatives pertaining to Haig-Brown's personal life and research interests. Much of the fonds relates to sport fishing in British Columbia and, more broadly, to the conservation of natural resources. Fonds includes manuscript and printed maps with annotations pertaining to B.C. fisheries and the topography of B.C.

The fonds consists of original as well as published maps pertaining to B.C. geology used by Hall.

The Jim Hamm Doukhobor Research Collection consists of two VHS copies of the documentary film, The Spirit Wrestlers, and other materials relating to the production of the film such as Betacam SP videos (camera masters), VHS videos screening copies, 35mm slides, digital photos on CD, audio cassettes and transcripts of the interviews in hard copy and on CD. In addition, footage logs, printed material, photographs and photocopies of photographs relating to the film have been created or collected, 1999-2002.

The Jim Hamm Documentary Film Collection consists of materials relating to three of his documentary films: "The Air We Breathe" (1996), "Between the Rock and a Hard Place" (1997) and "Turning Down the Heat" (1999). "The Air We Breathe" was a co-production of Jim Hamm and the National Film Board. It is an examination of the problem of smog in relation to political decisions, dependency on automobiles, and social-cultural forces. Hamm acted as co-producer, script writer and director. The film was broadcast on the CBC, WTN, SCN, Knowledge Network and Access Alberta. "Between the Rock and a Hard Place" was produced in association with CBC Newsworld. It is the story of Newfoundlanders who leave their home province after the collapse of the cod fishery, ironically finding work in the exploit of another natural resource in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. The film was aired on CBC Newsworld and on CBC Newfoundland. "Turning Down the Heat" was co-produced with the National Film Board in association with CBCs program "The Nature of Things," narrated by David Suzuki. The film showcases viable solutions to climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Hamm acted as director, co-producer and co-script writer. The film was aired on "The Nature of Things," and has other screenings nationally and internationally. Storage issues dictate that the textual materials relating to these films and the audio visual materials be separated, so the fonds therefore contains the series: "The Air We Breathe" Textual Materials series, "Turning Down the Heat" Textual Materials series, "Between the Rock and a Hard Place" Textual Materials series, "Turning Down the Heat" Audio/visual Materials series, "The Air We Breathe" Audio/visual Materials series, and "Between the Rock and a Hard Place" Audio/visual Materials series. The largest division of the collection is the audio/visual materials.

The fonds consists of photocopies of Hann's autobiography, reminiscences of Alberta and B.C., newspaper and magazine clippings (1910-1940), three unidentified letters (one dated 1930), and maps of Southeast England, Ontario (1912), Spain and Portugal. Scrapbooks in the collection contain clippings, printed material and correspondence on various topics. The fonds also includes photographs of classical art and architecture, buildings and monuments.

The fonds consists primarily of manuscripts and proposals (published and unpublished) submitted to the Harbour, as well as correspondence, financial records, subject files, and sales, marketing, and promotional files for the company as well as specific authors and publications.
