It includes the manuscripts for his autobiographies, correspondence, scripts for radio broadcasts and lectures, newspaper clippings, and concert programmes, photographs, films, and audio recordings. Also included are annotated copies of Adaskin's two autobiographies: A Fiddler's World (published in 1977), and A Fiddler's Choice (1982). Some outside correspondence addressed to his wife Frances after his death is also included. The fonds contains notebooks, photographs, ephemera and correspondence relating to the career of Constable (and later Sergeant) Samuel Service with the British Columbia Provincial Police and, following the merge in 1950, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The records related to Service's work and life in the cities and surrounding regions of Port Alberni, Cowichan, Chemainus and Victoria.

The fonds consists of logbooks, trip register, meeting minutes, and photograph albums. The logbooks and trip registers chronicle the general activities of the Varsity Outdoor Club and the activities at their various cabin locations, with comments by many who use the facilities. The files on meeting minutes contain minutes and sometimes copies of the VOCene, the club's newsletter, or advertisement and informational material related to the organization's activities. The photograph albums include black and white and coloured prints from several decades of the club's existence.

Many of the records in this fonds were used in relation to Burch’s autobiography, and therefore pertain to his childhood, education, navy service, and largely to his career as a forester. These records include genealogical research materials, photographs, educational certificates, navy service records, and textual documentation of his career and interests in forestry. It also reflects other projects undertaken by Burch, such as the Working Forest publication, a history of South Vancouver Island, as well as papers, research, correspondence, and speeches. It is filled with inscriptions by Cook’s friends from her times at St. George’s School (1925), North Vancouver High School (1926), U.B.C.(1927), and the Provincial Normal School or “PP.N.S. (1928). In addition to signatures, there are poems, literary quotes, small watercolours, and sketches.

The fonds also contains material relating to Bullocks work as a translator and includes a variety of genres translated into English from the original French, German, or Italian. The fonds also includes correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. The correspondence from 1935 illustrates the business life of a professional writer; it also contains a wealth of personal correspondence that helps solidify Bullock's stature as a writer both locally and internationally. Impressive figures such as Marcel Bealu, Max Frisch, and Joy Kogawa are intermingled with less well-known artists, friends, and family in the correspondence, and provide valuable commentary, over nearly 70 years, into the creative path chosen by Bullock.
