The fonds consists of records created and compiled by Gladstone Murray and the Responsible Enterprise association. Records are related to the annual dinners (1959-1961) put on by the association, as well as printed materials published or collected by the association. In order to reflect this the fonds is divided into two series: Annual Dinner series and Printed Materials series. Record types in the Annual dinner series include minutes, correspondence and reports. Records in the Printed Materials series include cartoons, newsletters, bulletins, and magazine articles.

Cartoons, newspaper articles, and magazines

Series consists of publications collected and created by the Responsible Enterprise association and Gladstone Murray. Record types include cartoons, newspaper articles, bulletins, and magazines. Cartoons are published by Responsible Enterprise Association, and relate largely to the labour movement, and socialism and communism in Canada, and internationally. Newspaper articles are copied from a range of sources including The News Optimist, The Quebec-Telegraph, The Windsor Daily Star, and The New York Times. Bulletins from Britain are written by John Gloag, and published by Responsible Enterprise. Issues of The Outlook magazine, the official publication of Responsible Enterprise, are also included in the series.

Mailing lists, correspondence and reports

Series consists of records created in relation to the hosting of Responsible Enterprise annual dinners. Individuals in attendance represented banks, oil and gas corporations, food and tobacco companies, and other members of the private sector. Annual reports given by Murray reflect on the years' success in progressing the agenda of the private sector. Record types include mailing lists of invitees, correspondence with dinner organizers and invited individuals, and copies of the annual reports given by Gladstone Murray at these dinners.
