The fonds consists of biographical material, correspondence (1928-1946), minutes, subject files, clippings and printed material pertaining to the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation in British Columbia. Amongst Shepherd's papers are those of his wife, Dorothy H. Shepherd, which relate to her work as an executive member of the South Westminster CCF Women's Club (1942-1959).

Series consists of printed material, including pamphlets and flyers, pertaining to the ideals and activities of the Co-operative Commonwealth Association and its members.

Series consists of promotional material, such as posters and leaflets, for CCF candidates, and various pamphlets relating to industry, agriculture, education, and unions .

Newspaper clippings

Series consists of newspaper clippings, both loose and in scrapbooks, collected by Shepherd. Includes clippings of articles pertaining to Shepherd's career, including clippings concerning his political campaigns and speeches given by him, clippings of his own columns, and subject clippings related to his various political interests. Includes many clippings pertaining to the B .C . Coast Vegetable Marketing Board.

Minutes

Series consists of minutes for several political organizations in which Shepherd was involved. Includes some minutes of regular and executive meetings of the Provincial Council of the CCF, 1939 to 1947; minutes of the South Westminster CCF Club, 1951-1956 ; and a register of delegates to the Delta District Council, 1935-1950.

Series consists of files of correspondence, notes, and printed material pertaining to various subjects, such as agriculture, fisheries, and education, assembled by Shepherd.

Series consists of typescripts of newspaper articles and editorials regarding public utilities and services, agriculture, and transportation taxes.

Series consists of receipts, invoices, correspondence and other records relating to Shepherd's campaign expenses during the 1945 election. Series also includes some applications for membership in the British Columbia section of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation .
