He was the first president of the British Columbian Medical Association and one of the people who was responsible for bringing British Columbia into the Canadian Confederation. Photograph is a reproduction of a photograph originally taken between 1860 and 1880. The stamp on the back of the photograph indicates it was most likely copied from the B.C. Provincial Archives.
