Fonds consists of materials in various media created or acquired by Joe Schlesinger in the course of his professional career, along with materials documenting or commemorating the Kindertransport programme, and a few items of a more personal nature. It includes textual records such as scripts for his news reports and speeches, correspondence, notebooks, scrapbooks, newspaper and magazine clippings, honorary degrees and other awards, published items, posters, and miscellaneous writings. Also included are photographs, audiovisual recordings, and digital files.

Fonds consists of textual records, and includes written notes and typed transcripts from interviews conducted by William Willmott and two research assistants. Interviews were conducted with Jack Yee and Seto Yingshek, and with relatives and friends of H.Y. Louie. Also included is related correspondence, a membership register of a small Chinese association (written in Chinese), and a small notebook (contents written in Chinese).

File contains four notebooks of Melody Rudd, member of Executive Committee. Four handwritten exercise books (notebooks) containing notes on union activities in the form of phone numbers, addresses, to-do lists, lists of supplies, calculations, financial information, scheduling, drafts of correspondence, questions, information about the newsletter, and the activities of Locals 1-6. One of the notebooks appears to have been used for class or personal notes as it mostly contains psychology and mental health information with a section on union and strike activities at the end.

File contains Provincial Executive meeting minutes dated January 17, 1981 to July 17, 1981. Topics discussed include a protest of cutbacks at tuition fees at Capilano College, correspondence, reports of officers and representatives, reports of Locals, the affiliation referendum, the annual convention, financial statements, office business and hiring, bylaw and constitutional amendments, strikes, grievances, "Ban the Klan" demonstration, Local 5 affiliation with the CCU and related disciplinary charges. File also contains one half-filled spiral bound stenographer's notebook with handwritten notes on AUCE business.
