The Irene Howard fonds consists of general correspondence and materials related to Howard's personal interests and associations, and materials relating to her work as researcher, literary agent and writer. The fonds is divided into eight series: Association involvement and general interest; Interview recordings; Photographs and maps; "Monday Morning" magazine issues; Literary activities; NDP campaigns materials; Materials related to Ronald Liversedge; and Gold dust on his shirt publication records. The Gold dust series is further subdivided into Publication records and Research records.

Fonds consists of records related to the documentary film which Ewashen directed entitled In search of utopia: the Doukhobors, produced under the name Gemini Cooperative for the Performing Arts. Records consist of two copies of the film on reels, a shot book containing copies of historical photographs and correspondence, contracts and other textual records related to the production and promotion of the film, and a teacher’s manual and study guide.

Fonds consists of personal and business records of Peter Faminow, related to his personal and family life, career as a lawyer and a politician, and his interests and involvement in the Doukhobor community. Records include correspondence, clippings and scrapbooks, photographs, audio recordings, papers, speeches, and other textual records. The fonds consists of material related to Emerson's career in radio and to his involvement in Canadian (Vancouver) radio and musical theatre, principally during the 1950s and early 1960s. It includes scripts and notes for various radio programs which Emerson hosted and in which he was involved. The fonds also includes musical scores, programmes, manuscripts, and lyrics from his musical theatre work; newspaper and magazine clippings of reviews and articles making mention of Emerson and his acquaintances; and miscellaneous non-textual materials including a photograph and two 45 rpm audio discs.

The fonds consists of the research materials for Irene Howard's book, Vancouver Svenskar which chronicles the history of Lodge Linnea No. 76, Vancouver. The fonds consists of minute books, financial records, membership lists, attendance records, and related material. The fonds also includes the minute book of Lodge 76‘s juvenile division Pride of Vancouver No. 27 (IOGT, 1936-1937). Fonds also contains a file of ephemeral items and artifacts related to the Lodge No. 76, including a petition for the control of alcohol and drug trafficking, a medal, and certificates (see box 1).

Fonds consists of records generated by TRAS in the course of raising funds for, and administering funds to, overseas partners. The fonds is organized into the following series: administrative records (1962-1990) and project records (1964-1997). The film “Initiation of a Dalai Lama” was brought to UBC by John Conway in May 1988 to be deposited with the records of TRAS. Documentation from 1970 with the film suggests the film was borrowed from UBC Audio-Visual Services Extension Department by Dr. Shotaro Iida for use by the Dalai Lama.

The fonds consists of textual and photographic records relating to personal, business and financial matters of the Wilkinson family and their lives in British Columbia in the twentieth century. The fonds includes individual photographs and a photograph album depicting locations of the lower mainland and Vancouver Island, student group photographs and images of family members and individuals. The textual records pertain to the personal correspondence of the members of the Wilkinson family, school records, an appointment book, a diary, sketchbooks of international travel, personal financial records and statistical records relating to British Columbia logging practices.

The fonds contains notebooks, photographs, ephemera and correspondence relating to the career of Constable (and later Sergeant) Samuel Service with the British Columbia Provincial Police and, following the merge in 1950, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The records related to Service's work and life in the cities and surrounding regions of Port Alberni, Cowichan, Chemainus and Victoria.

The fonds consists of correspondence, mainly incoming; drafts (manuscripts, typescripts, computer printouts) and galley proofs of the written work of Spider Robinson and Jeanne Robinson; drafts of articles written by Spider Robinson; notebooks; printed material; and other materials relating to the writing career of Spider Robinson and the joint writing careers of Spider and Jeanne Robinson.

The fonds contains a sub-fonds of material relating to Jeanne Robinson's dance career and her involvement in the Nova Dance Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The collection mainly consists of general research material related to these themes, but there is some more specialized research into specific areas of Swedish Canadian history, such as the Scandinavian Central Committee and the International Order of Good Templars. Thomas Crosby and his wife, Emma Douse Crosby, manuscripts, documents, printed material, photographs, and sketches pertaining to missionary work and family life. The correspondence includes letters written and received by Thomas Crosby on behalf of the Port Simpson people relating to land issues and letters written by Emma Crosby to her mother during her early years at Port Simpson.

The fonds consists of a charter for the Journeymen Tailors' Union of America, Local 178 (1898), ephemera and textual records relating to the Clothing and Textile Workers' Union predominantly from the 1960s and 1970s.

The fonds consists of writings by Alan Whitehorn on the CCF, NDP, and the Communist Party. Fonds includes articles and manuscripts. Some texts are co-authored by Keith Archer.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to Stephen's literary work and his social concerns, including the Canadian depression of the 1930s and the world rise of fascism. The fonds also includes two scrapbooks containing letters, clippings, photographs (including Norman Bethune) and related materials. Another scrapbook (1928-1963) was completed by Stephen's wife after his death.

The research collection consists of interviews conducted for a published biography on Grace MacInnis. Interviewees include Dave Barrett, Rosemary Brown, Cliff Scotton, Harold Winch, and Bruce Woodsworth. She also collected speeches made by Grace MacInnis in the House of Commons as printed by Hansard, 1966-1974.

The fonds consists of twenty-four incoming letters received by Walsh while at the Inkameep Indian Day School (1936-1941).

The fonds consists of papers of the Charlton family principally generated by Ormand Lee Charlton and his son Darwin, who in turn functioned as custodian of the records. The records themselves generally relate to the early CCF movement in British Columbia, and other socialist and labour movements across Canada. Papers include information about the Canadian Cooperative Society (Ruskin Mills) and the Industrial Union (Ruskin) in the 1890s. The fonds also includes several copies of the CCF news, the party newspaper, as well as scrapbooks, clippings, drafts of speeches and addresses, correspondence and photographs relate to the family's involvement in socialist politics. The fonds also includes a collection of CCF poems written by Charlton's wife Annie, and essays written by famed socialist thinker Mildred Macleod.

The fonds consists primarily of printed material relating to the Federation's decision to become a non-profit organization. Included are guidelines for society incorporation, surveys given to Federation members to ascertain their opinions about becoming a non-profit organization and literature on non-profit societies. Further material transferred in 2014 from the City of Vancouver Archives consists of surveys sent to various women's organizations asking their views on feminism, in preparation for the "Day of Feminism."
