Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds includes the following series: correspondence, theses, speeches, lecture notes, printed materials, clippings, photographs, student memorabilia and manuscripts. Photographs are stored separately.

Fonds consists of nine pages of handwritten excerpts from Eileen Keel’s diary covering the school years 1938/39 and 1939/40, and one page of photocopied prints depicting the UBC campus during this period and Keel’s graduation.

The collection consists of records collected by Professor David Macaree in his research on early 18th Century English literature. It includes transcribed typed copies of the complete works of David Crawford (or Crawfurd) (ca. 1700); a copy of an article written by Macaree about Crawford (1961); and photocopies of early political pamphlets by Daniel Defoe (ca. 1700-1714).

Fonds documents several of Eva-Marie Kröller’s academic projects: her biography of British Columbia author George Bowering, Bright Circles of Colours (Talonbooks, 1992); essays on Roy Kiyooka and Emily Carr; her book Canadian Travellers in Europe, 1851-1900 (UBC Press, 1987); materials relating to her book Writing the Empire: The McIlwraiths, 1853-1948 (2021); an article entitled “Une femme bien en vue”: Adrienne Clarkson and the Media (2014); and an anthology of travel literature that she and historian Pierre Savard were planning, but which was not completed before Savard’s death in 1998 in addition to other various research materials. Also included are documents related to a workshop organized by SATE (Swiss Association of Teachers in English), and correspondence with Canadian authors. The materials consist of textual records (correspondence, notes, drafts, and readers’ reports), published materials, and a 3.5” computer floppy disk containing a digital manuscript of Bright Circles of Colours.

Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, clippings, artifacts, publications, legal documents, notes, transcripts of lectures and broadcasts, examinations, certificates, and other miscellaneous items. Most of the material was created and collected by Sedgewick himself and a small amount was collected by friends including Robert apRoberts after Sedgewick's death.

Fonds consists of a variety of materials, but the focus is on the literary works of Geoffrey Riddehough and includes drafts, manuscripts, and publications of his poetry and short stories. The fonds also contains a number of academic essays, research materials on Joseph of Exeter, and papers that Riddehough presented to various groups. There is also correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. Fonds consists of 3 sous‐fonds and 14 series: Pegeen Brennan sous‐fonds, Lemuel Robertson sous‐fonds, Doreen Nalos sous‐fonds, Murray and Marian Cowie sous‐fonds, Personal Information series, Published Materials series, Manuscripts and Unpublished Materials series, Assorted Poems: Miscellaneous series, Assorted Short Stories: Miscellaneous series, Lecture Notes and Papers Presented series, Joseph of Exeter Research Materials series, Coursework series, Notebooks and Scrapbooks series, Diaries series, Expense Ledgers / Accounts series, Correspondence series, Photographs series, and Miscellaneous series.

The fonds consists of copies of radio scripts from Woodcock's radio broadcasts, correspondence with George Orwell and poet Lance Godwin, and examples of Woodcock's early poetry.

Fonds consists of a hand-written account of Gladys Wright's memories of the UBC Fairview campus. Also included are seven heavily-annotated textbooks (copies of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, The Merchant of Venice, Coriolanus, Twelfth Night (2 copies), Julius Caesar, and Othello) used in Garnett G. Sedgewick's English courses. The latter items document teaching and note-taking methods from the 1920s, particularly those practiced in Sedgewick's classes.

Fonds consists almost entirely of materials created or acquired by Gordon Elliott throughout his life and career and includes:
