The fonds consists of transcripts of documents from and pertaining to the Deutsche Groenland (Greenland) Expedition of 1930-1931 headed by Alfred Wegener and, more specifically, pertaining to his death while attempting to bring desperately needed supplies of petroleum from Weststation to Eismitte. There are also ten photographs.

The collection consists of a letter from Sir John Franklin, Great Bear Lake, to Robert McVicar, 1826; a telegram from S.L. Tilley to Hon. Dr. Helmcken, April 1, 1871, referring to the admittance of British Columbia into Confederation, a document signed by Charles Dupont referring to a land transaction to what is now known as Vancouver, and an invitation to the opening of the new Parliament Buildings in Victoria, 1898.

The fonds have been arranged into nine series: general programming, administrative, exhibitions, Front Magazine, Luminous Sites, media arts and video program, new music, performance art, and publicity and promotional materials. As much as possible, the files are arranged as they were by the original curators and program administrators. Early records (1973-1983) for all the programs are grouped together. Video program files were separated starting in 1976 when the program began. Following 1983, the programs each had individual curators.

The fonds consists of textual and photographic records relating to personal, business and financial matters of the Wilkinson family and their lives in British Columbia in the twentieth century. The fonds includes individual photographs and a photograph album depicting locations of the lower mainland and Vancouver Island, student group photographs and images of family members and individuals. The textual records pertain to the personal correspondence of the members of the Wilkinson family, school records, an appointment book, a diary, sketchbooks of international travel, personal financial records and statistical records relating to British Columbia logging practices.

The fonds consists of the unpublished manuscripts of It Seems to Me, Faith and Fancy, and Broken Crystals. These typescripts date from the period 1935-1950 when Williams was travelling across Canada. The fonds also includes printed and published poems (1936-1945).

The fonds consists of Winson's correspondence, a personal reminiscence of Winson by his wife (Ethel Leaf Winson), and another memoir entitled "From Small Beginnings," together with a historical account of Lady Tweedsmuir's visit to Abbotsford in 1939. In addition, there are other brief manuscript memoirs by Mrs. Winson, clippings of J.W. Winson's journalistic articles (some relating to A.W. Findlay), miscellaneous clippings, documents confirming Winson's various appointments and the copyright to Wildwood Trails.

The fonds consists primarily of clippings and articles relating to international affairs, Chinese customs preserved in Canada, life in Vancouver's China Town and social and political problems confronted by Chinese Canadians. Further, the fonds also contains many complete copies of the Chinatown newspaper, The Chinese Voice; records related to Foon Sien Wong's Chinatown activities through the Vancouver Unity Association, the Canadian Centennial Planning Committee, and other related groups.

Notebook containing a copy of "The Totem Poles in Stanley Park" by Rev. John C. Goodfellow, photographs taken from "Potlatch and Totem and the Recollections of an Indian Agent" by W. M. Halliday, and letters and photographs of Vancouver artist George Norris. The notebook also contains a cover letter from Leonard A. Woods about the materials in the notebook and some background information about Norris, as well as newspaper clippings and ephemera.

The fonds consists of correspondence, field circulars, financial records, licenses, a map, and miscellaneous items made or received by Bruce Woodsworth between 1936 and 1939 regarding his employment in Northern Rhodesian and Nyasaland in mining ventures.

The fonds consists of Work's handwritten diary of a trip from Fort Simpson to the Queen Charlotte Islands (May 13-26, 1851) to investigate the reported gold discoveries there.

Records pertain largely to Youngs acquisition and use of his British Columbia mineral claims during the early 1950s through to the early 1960s. Claims that Young acquired located near Lillooet, and were called the Anita, Sunrise and Margaret mineral claims. Claims acquired near Kamloops, and were called the Speed, Puzzle, and Last Chance mineral claims, and consisted of sodium carbonate and magnesium sulphate lakes. The records consist largely of correspondence, particularly between Young and Gilbert Spears and Young and those who sold him the mineral claims, but also with lawyers and potential clients such as pharmaceutical companies, timber plants, salt plants, and rubber plants. Records also include contracts and other legal documents. Eight photographs are contained in the file regarding the acquisition of the Basque salt lakes.
A small amount of records pertain to the production of a Christmas film in 1952 called Bethlehem, designed by an associate of Youngs. Young and his associate hoped to sell the filmstrip to the National Film Board with the potential for creating future films for them, and the images to a card company with the aim of making Christmas cards from them. Records consist of correspondence and a script.
The fonds is arranged into two series: Mineral Claims series, and Filmstrip series. The Mineral Claims series contains 6 files: Basque lakes, 1951-1952; Business correspondence, 1951-1953; Reports and contracts, 1952-1956; Spears Correspondence, 1958-1959; Business and Spears Correspondence, 1958-1959; Business and Spears Correspondence, 1958-1961. The Filmstrip series contains one file.

The fonds documents the company's activities in the ship building and maintenance business from ca. 1960 until the closure of the business in 1984. The fonds is arranged in four series containing invitations to tender, specifications, and drawings from various marine architects and government agencies, as well as invoices, advertising and technical publications from various suppliers.

The fonds consists of handwritten drafts of mining stories told by Stanley Hunter to the West End Talespinners at Barclay Manor, 1997 - 2002. In addiion, he wrote memoirs about his experiences in the mining industry including the Granduc Mine Story.

Fonds illustrates James R. Stanton’s personal life and guiding business in Knight Inlet, British Columbia. It consists of an unpublished biography written by Stanton (including a foreword by R.M. Lorentsen and an epilogue by Blair Mclean), photographs selected by Stanton for his manuscript, and additional photographs and slides of the Stanton family.

Fonds consists of records reflecting Fenton’s activities as the president of the Local 213 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in B.C. and the Executive Board representative of the First District of the Pacific District Council of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, spanning approximately from 1912 to 1913. These records are arranged in chronological order. Textual records in the fonds primarily consist of incoming correspondence from the U.S. to E.Tilford Fenton as the president of the I.B.E.W. in B.C., general circulars and reports from Pacific District Council, and administrative documents of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Personal correspondence of E. Tilford Fenton spans primarily from 1914 to 1915. These records are also arranged in chronological order. The fonds is arranged into the following four series: office correspondence; general circulars; administrative documents; and personal correspondence.

This fonds consists of minute books from 1956 to 1966, including minutes of executive meetings, annual convention programs and resolutions and records of expenses.

The fonds consists of records reflective of W. Randle Iredale’s career as a professional architect, spanning approximately 1955 to 2000, predominant between 1960-1970. Specific projects that are reflected in the records include: the Portage Mountain Development Project, Hydro Tourist Lookout, Downtown Stadium Centennial, Westcoast Transmission Building, UBC Sedgewick Undergraduate Library, Vancouver Downtown Stadium, Vancouver’s Park Site 19 Project and St. Francis Construction Project.

A large portion of the material is reflective of the Portage Mountain Development Project, a large hydro-electric project at Portage Mountain in north-east British Columbia. The following projects, which were all part of the Portage Mountain Development Project, are reflected in the fonds: the Portage Mountain Lookout Building, Portage Mountain Control Building, Portage Mountain Power House, Hudson’s Hope Housing and George W. Pearkes Elementary School.
Records are arranged generally according to project, keeping the original filing system of the creator.

The majority of the fonds consists of photographs, negatives, slides and architectural drawings pertaining to project sites, spanning primarily from the 1960s to the 1990s. Textual records in the fonds primarily consist of correspondence, publicity material and publications pertaining to the projects completed by Rhone & Iredale Architect and the Iredale Partnership.
