Fonds consists of records that document the UBC Learning Exchange history and includes correspondence, reports, minutes, budgets and related financial records, written notes, published items, and audiovisual materials. It is arranged in six series: Administration, UBC-Okanagan, Chapman Awards, Programmes, Community Service Learning and Community Based Research, and Audiovisual.

Fonds consists of records related to the organization of the Paul Robeson Memorial Concert and the accompanying oral history project. Textual series in this fonds include financial records, oral history project plans and concert planning. There is also a series which contains the audio recordings of the interviews conducted by the committee.

The last letter is dated October 8, 2007, and was written a little over a month before Jane Rule’s death. The fonds also includes four CD’s featuring Jane Rule reading a selection of her short stories including “House,” “A Chair for George,” “Seaweed & Song,” “You Cannot Judge a Pumpkin by the Smile Upon His Face,” “A Migrant’s Christmas,” “If There is No Gate,” “Home Movie,” “Blessed are the Dead,” and “Dulce.” Apparently, the recordings were produced in a small number for distribution to family and friends. The fonds also includes a copy of a videotape entitled Fiction and Other Truths: A Film About Jane Rule (Eds. Lynne Fernie, Aerlyn Weissman).

Fonds consists of documents regarding the formation of the College for Interdisciplinary Studies and the initial call for campus-wide input regarding the future of interdisciplinary studies at UBC. It includes brochures, annual reports, endowment deeds, and reports on the ongoing structure of CfIS, as well as papers relating to the 2010 External Review of the College. Note that while the series contains sections I and II of the 2010 External Review, it appears likely that there was once additional material as the index states that there were ten appendices.

The fonds consists of textual documents and audiovisual materials that relate to the filming and production of “Champions for Change.” The textual materials include synopsis and scripts, tape logs, shot lists, transcripts and interview transcripts. A number of the tapes (including #3, #9, #10, #16, #17, #20 and #21) are not transcribed. The audiovisual materials are 26 videotapes, including master copies of the three-part series “Champions for Change,” the master dub tape, and additional footage of interviews with key individuals. The individuals interviewed include Chantal Benoit, Jeff Adams, Chantal Petitclerc, B. MacPherson, Kristine Bacharach, Travis Engen, Dan Gangier, Eric Gagnon, and Rebecca Borneman. The tapes also include stock footage and B-roll shots.

Meagan Davies part of the midwifery collection consists of 22 DVDs of interviews conducted throughout B.C.

Abra Palumbo collected printed papers kept about the midwifery movement in the 1970s and 80s in B.C. Most of the materials are official forms, manuals, or articles utilized by the midwifery movement.

From McDowell: "One of the least appreciated, but potentially most important set of historical documents in [RBSC] are those related to the overlooked Spanish navigator Jose Maria Narvaez (1768-1840), the first European mariner to explore the central and northern parts of what we now call the Salish Sea in 1791 -- one year before the famous captains Dionisio Alcala-Galiano, Cayetano Valdes y Bazan, and George Vancouver investigated the same inland sea. Although Narvaez's remarkable achievements and contributions were largely ignored, overlooked, or minimized until 1998, a more accurate assessment is emerging, and it has been supported significantly by the documentary information in [RBSC]."

Fonds consists of transcripts and audio recordings of 13 interviews with Canadian librarians who have been involved with IFLA.

Fonds consists of documentation of the No Man Is An Island project and includes interview transcripts, correspondence, and consent forms of interviewees, in paper form. Also included is a USB stick containing digital transcripts and audio files from the interviews.

The fonds is comprised of materials related to Brown's personal life (mostly recorded through photography) and his various professional positions, particularly his role in the White Pass & Yukon Corporation and its expansion into containerized shipping.

The fonds consists of a record book of the B.C. Institute of Journalists from the period of E.H. Scott's presidency of the Institute (1928-1929). The fonds also includes various newspapers, some relating to Newsman's Club activities; as well as information, including a brief history of the Club in the 1950s and 1960s; seven items pertaining to the 1930s cooperatives; and Vancouver memorabilia.

The fonds consists of papers of the Charlton family principally generated by Ormand Lee Charlton and his son Darwin, who in turn functioned as custodian of the records. The records themselves generally relate to the early CCF movement in British Columbia, and other socialist and labour movements across Canada. Papers include information about the Canadian Cooperative Society (Ruskin Mills) and the Industrial Union (Ruskin) in the 1890s. The fonds also includes several copies of the CCF news, the party newspaper, as well as scrapbooks, clippings, drafts of speeches and addresses, correspondence and photographs relate to the family's involvement in socialist politics. The fonds also includes a collection of CCF poems written by Charlton's wife Annie, and essays written by famed socialist thinker Mildred Macleod.

The fonds consists primarily of printed material relating to the Federation's decision to become a non-profit organization. Included are guidelines for society incorporation, surveys given to Federation members to ascertain their opinions about becoming a non-profit organization and literature on non-profit societies. Further material transferred in 2014 from the City of Vancouver Archives consists of surveys sent to various women's organizations asking their views on feminism, in preparation for the "Day of Feminism."

The fonds consists of correspondence, field circulars, financial records, licenses, a map, and miscellaneous items made or received by Bruce Woodsworth between 1936 and 1939 regarding his employment in Northern Rhodesian and Nyasaland in mining ventures.

The fonds consists of a typed transcript of French's autobiography which chronicles his experiences with the Hudson's Bay Company forts in their early days. It also includes a monograph entitled Transportation and Transportation Routes in British Columbia, a fragment of a work on gold mining and his family history.
