[Possible Murray Family Photo Album]

An album of predominantly landscape photographs from throughout British Columbia, as well as a few in Vancouver, including some of ships in the harbour. In the back after a number of blank pages are also some family snapshots. Many of the photos are captioned in fading pencil. The album may have belonged to a member of Kathleen Murray's family.

[Vancouver Photo Album]

A photo album of images taken in and around Vancouver, including Stanley Park, Howe Sound, Bowen Island, and Deep Cove; also includes family portraits and other miscellaneous scenes. Housed in a leather-bound album with an image of an Aboriginal Chief burned onto the cover. The captions are badly faded, and some of the photos are fading as well.

The Vanishing Race, The Long Headed Indian of the West Coast of BC

An album of photographs believed to be in British Columbia, including landscape images as well as a number of portraits of Aboriginal peoples, many hand-coloured. Only the photos on the right-hand pages are signed by Ben William Leeson (as B.W. Leeson). It is possible that an unknown individual added their snapshots on the facing pages to a book of Lesson images.

[Barkerville & BC Photographs]

Album likely assembled at a later date by a dealer, however many are related to Barkerville, British Columbia, and a fire that destroyed the town in September of 1868. There are also other assorted images including portraits of prominent British Columbians such as James Douglas, and scenes in other small towns throughout the province. Most of the photographs are reproductions from images at the B.C. Provincial Archives and date from 1857 to 1930.

A Visit to British Columbia 1898

An album of photographs from a trip to British Columbia (plus Spokane, Washington), by a man identified only as F.L.M., accompanied by at least two others (McMillan and English). The images depict a number of cities as well as landscapes and some mining and manufacturing facilities. It is a pre-printed album made by Kodak, though the original housing mechanisms appear to be missing and the photos are glued to the page. Some pages are blank, but it does not appear that photos have been removed; though three sheets have been cut out from the back.
