Stationery sheet of the Saint John Board of Trade, New Brunswick, from the late nineteenth century, with maps showing Canadian Pacific routes on the Pacific Ocean, railways in Atlantic Canada, and Canadian Pacific routes on the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a list of distances from St. John, New Brunswick to destinations in Great Britain and Canada. Manuscript calculations have been made on verso.

Document granting general sufferance with conditions

Hand written form granting permission to Samuel McCullough to voyage up the Fraser River with four men and his implements and provisions for mining. Conditions of sufferance include to only bring on board goods bought from the Hudson Bay Company, to not carry gunpowder or other ammunition except for that from the United Kingdom, to receive no passengers without a gold mining license, and not to trade with First Nations. Signed by William Mitchell, collector, at Port Victoria, Vancouver Island.
