Victoria, B.C. Kwakiutl Chief William Scow presenting model totem pole to W.A. McAdam, Agent General for B.C. in the U.K.

Note on back: "A model of a Native B.C. Indian totem pole was presented to Mr. W. A. MacAdam, Agent General for British Columbia in the United Kingdom, by Chief William the Honourable Lyle Wicks, during a meeting of the Provincial Advisory Committee on Indian Affairs. This presentation concluded an induction ceremony during which Mr. McAdam was named an Honorary Chief of the Kwicksutaineuk Indian Nation. Chief William Scow, Vice-President of the Provincial Advisory Committee on Indian Affairs name of Kla-le-le-tla which means: "kind and courtous reception extended to all the people." This tribute was paid to Mr. MacAdam in recognition of his friendship to Chief Scow when he attended the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II as a representative of the Native Indians of Canada."
