The fonds consists primarily of material accumulated during a survey of Hong Kong undertaken by the Department of Geology between 1923 and 1933. It is composed of notes, maps and reports generated by Brock and his associates. There are also some papers from the files of the Department of Geology. The papers have been roughly sorted according to form. Also included are several non-UBC publications initially kept in the Brock family library.

Fonds consists of biographical notes, clippings, articles, early educational records, research notes, draft manuscripts, field notebooks, reports, publications, correspondence, lecture and course notes, maps, photographic prints, and slides pertaining to M.Y. Williams' professional and personal activities.

The fonds comprised of two series of records. The first series, History of Medicine at UBC (1936-1976), contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports relating to the proposed establishment of an Institute of Preventive Medicine (1936-1940). It also includes records associated with the preparation and execution of the Medical Education survey (1946), correspondence and reports relating to the Department of Bacteriology and Preventive Medicine (1951-1955), and a history of the UBC Medical School (1976). Records of the Royal Society of Canada comprise the second series. A large portion of this material reflects the efforts of the Society to participate in the formulation and implementation of a national science policy beginning from the mid-1960s through to the early 1970s.

The collection consists of assorted records divided by subject generated during the expedition and general material about Easter Island subsequently added. Records include correspondence, magazine clippings, newsletters, personnel lists, and reports.

The fonds consist of correspondence from 1935-1994; research from 1942-1987; published material from 1905-1996; oral history from 1983-1987; newspaper clippings from 1964-1994; and photographs from 1923-1985.

Fonds consists of material created by Saltzman, primarily in relation to the various productions in broadcasting he was a part of. Material has been arranged in nine series: Early Career series, Mid-Career series, Canada AM and “701” series, General Career and Personal series, ACTRA series, Meteorology material series, Order of Canada series, Audiovisual series, and Photographs series.

Fonds consists of records documenting the history of the Volkoff family, in particular the life and career of George Volkoff. It includes manuscripts, correspondence, research notes, academic records and other official documentation, certificates, published items, photographs (black and white prints of various sizes, black and white 35mm negatives, and digital scans from original prints), memorabilia, and digital media.
