Biographical history

Marjorie Vivien Smith was the program director for the Aging and Human Relations Division at UBC's Centre for Continuing Education between 1940 and 1978. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan and her Master of Social Work from UBC.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of records created or acquired by Marjorie V. Smith in the course of her work at the Centre for Continuing Education, and include correspondence, course materials, reports, photographs, and published materials. The records are arranged in five series: East Indian Programs, Multiculturalism, Indians, Reports on Workshops, and Publications. The arrangement is based on the order in which they were kept in Smith's office and transferred to the Archives.
