Biographical history
Philip Pinkus received a B.A. from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Pinkus taught in the Department of English at the University of British Columbia from 1959 to 1984. He received the title of Professor Emeritus upon his retirement in 1984. He has also written five books, including Grub St. Stripped Bare (1968) and editor of Jonathan Swift-a Selection of His Works (1972).
