Scope and content
In November of 1942, Brown traveled from Vancouver to Golden, then Radium and ultimately Kootenay Park where he was transported to begin his service at Camp 16, a logging camp that produced mine shoring props.
Inscription in the album says it contains a “pictorial record of my soujourn in Kootenay National Park.” The album has 100 hand-numbered pages depicting locations like Revelstoke, Glacier, Banff, 21 mile camp, 16 mile mill, Sinclair Canyon, McLeod Meadow, and activities such as bicycling, fishing, playing music, and swimming. Captions on these images may contain information such as temperature, geographic location, and persons pictured.

Arrangement
Album was removed from file, interleaved, and stored in box 2 with the first album. Twenty-six photographs and 219 negatives stored in envelopes within the album have been removed from the file, housed, and placed in photograph storage. The envelope originally containing these negatives is in the file.
Photographs, both those secured in the album and those separate from it, were individually numbered. Negatives were numbered according to their corresponding photograph when possible.
The following negatives were removed from Photo Album 1 (RBSC-ARC-1769-1-01), then numbered and stored with negatives from this album due to the corresponding photograph’s placement in this album: RBSC-ARC-1769-PH-2-094, 111 and 115 (negs). Negatives RBSC-ARC-1769-PH-2-194 and 233 were originally in a separate file and not associated with either album, but the archivist has included them with Photo Album 2 because they correspond to negatives in the album.
