Haynes Park is one of England's "Stately Homes". The Manor of Hawnes (Haynes Park) was in the Bray family from 1488 to 1588, and then of the Newdygates, Lukes, and Wynches, until finally Sir George Cateret acquired it in 1677. The estate remained in the Cateret family until 1914. The Residence is a Georgian building with remnants of earlier structures.
