The records consist of correspondence, architectural plans, research grant proposals, research reviews, CVs, and videotapes of colloquia and other PWIAS events, and numerous other records relating to the mission and programs of the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies.

The fonds consists primarily of speeches delivered by John B. Macdonald (1962-1967), biographical material and miscellaneous records.

The fonds consists of reports and background material arising from the Student Services Review (1998), minutes from the Student Services (1998-2000) and Enrolment Services Management Committee (2001-2002) meetings, course calendars and other publications from Student Services, and posters.

Fonds consists of original versions of manuscripts and working records. Included are manuscripts, edited and marked for printing, typescript, editorials, articles, poems and book reviews of Canadian Literature, Issues #73 - #179, 1977-2003. Also included are correspondence files, 1975-1993. These latter files contain letters from many well-known Canadian writers and poets. Records from the pre-1977 period will be found at Queen's University Archives interspersed with other correspondence in the George Meredith Woodcock manuscript collection.
