The fonds consists of correspondence (1937-1968), manuscripts and drafts for books and articles, copies of radio talks (1937-1955), speeches (1943-1957), printed material, clippings and two scrapbooks (1937-1965).

Fonds consists of material created by Saltzman, primarily in relation to the various productions in broadcasting he was a part of. Material has been arranged in nine series: Early Career series, Mid-Career series, Canada AM and “701” series, General Career and Personal series, ACTRA series, Meteorology material series, Order of Canada series, Audiovisual series, and Photographs series.

The fonds consists of two series: Photographic and Audiovisual. The photographs were created by Information Services and Community Relations and were transferred to the University Archives by the Public Affairs Office. The photographs are 35 mm negative format and digital-born photos on optical discs. The images document a wide variety of important people, events and activities at the University of British Columbia between 1980 and 1991.

The video and audio recordings ([1966?]-2008) are of events on campus both at UBC Vancouver and Okanagan, including the announcement of the Okanagan campus. The material includes copies of media clips, promotional videos, speeches, the visit of dignitaries such as the Dalai Lama and stock footage. The audiovisual formats include VHS, DVD, Umatic, Betacam sp and unknown optical disc formats. Sound recordings are made up of cassette tapes and compact disc digital audio (CD-DA).

Most of the materials in the original accession were created by Information Services and Community Relations, the predecessor agencies of Public Affairs.

Fonds consists of the following series: Biographical Files (1945-1973), Subject Files (1939-1978), Annual Reports (1969-1974), UBC Publications Survey (1975-1977), Speeches - John B. MacDonald (1962-1967), Miscellaneous Subjects (1963-1983), Sound and Moving Images (1968-1983), Photographs (1969-1980), and "News from UBC" (1966-1974). The Miscellaneous subjects series includes materials pertaining to UBC's participation in "Habitat" (the 1976 United Nations Conference on Human Settlement), and the Commonwealth University Congress (1978).

Fonds consists of agendas, speeches, case statements, reports, reviews, protocols, proposals, plans, procedures, lists, estimates, projections, briefs, agreements, correspondence, outlines, campaign materials, training materials, research, donor information, invitations, notes, brochures, audiovisual recordings, and photos. The fonds is arranged in six series: UBC President's Speeches, Organizational Planning, Development, and Operations; Correspondence; Leadership Unit, Audio Visual, and Photographs.
