Library fonds

The fonds consists of records generated by the UBC Library and its branches and divisions, and includes correspondence (both internal and external), reports, minutes, memorandums, notes, budgets and other financial records, architectural plans and drawings, published materials, scrapbooks, publicity materials, photographs, and projects. The records are arranged in sous-fonds based on branches and divisions represented by the records. They are the Librarian's Office, Acquisition Division, Data Library, Extension Library, Gifts and Exchanges Division, Reference Division, Sedgewick Library, Special Collections Division, Woodward Library, PATSCAN, Fine Arts Division, Information Services, Technical Services, MacMillan Library, Science and Engineering Division, Binding Department, Crane Library, Koerner Library, Asian Library, the Reading Rooms Division, Facilities and Preservation, and X̱wi7x̱wa Library. Also included are some records from the McGill University College of B.C. Library, pre-dating the establishment of UBC and its Library.

Brave New Play Rites fonds

The fonds consists of video recordings of various plays featured in the festival, photographs from some festival events and records pertaining to the administration of the festival. Administrative records take the form of promotional programs and posters, meeting minutes, agendas, memorandum, calendars, budgets, reports, newspaper clippings, notes, correspondence, handbooks, and some play scripts.

The fonds consists of records generated through the various activities of the Ceremonies Office. Included in the fonds are administrative records (1964-1984) as well as records that document the activities associated with Congregation (1950-2006), building openings (1951-1986) and numerous functions sponsored by the University (1962-1995). The fonds also include information about honorary degree recipients, congratulatory greetings to Presidents K. George Pedersen (1983), David Strangway (1985) and various other ceremonial activities. The fonds consists of manuscripts, galleys, page proofs and paste-ups relating to the publication of Prism International. In addition, the fonds includes route sheets and correspondence produced during the selection of submissions for inclusion in the Journal. The bulk of this material is arranged chronologically by volume and issue number. Also included are financial statements and correspondence relating to the marketing and production of the Journal and records from Prism International Press. Fonds organized into four series: Administrative/financial records series (1957-1994), Prism International volume-issue series (1958-1995), Prism International Press (1966-1971), and Correspondence (1964-1984).

Canadian Literature fonds

Fonds consists of original versions of manuscripts and working records. Included are manuscripts, edited and marked for printing, typescript, editorials, articles, poems and book reviews of Canadian Literature, Issues #73 - #179, 1977-2003. Also included are correspondence files, 1975-1993. These latter files contain letters from many well-known Canadian writers and poets. Records from the pre-1977 period will be found at Queen's University Archives interspersed with other correspondence in the George Meredith Woodcock manuscript collection.

Margaret Rushton Theatre Collection

The collection consists of correspondence, financial materials, minutes, reports, plays, clippings, scrapbooks, notes, brochures, and photographs pertaining to various dramatic organizations with which Rushton was involved. These organizations include Vancouver Little Theatre Association, Vancouver Children's Theatre, Vancouver Community Children's Theatre, Holiday Theatre, Holiday Playhouse and Playhouse Theatre. Rushton collected this material for the purpose of writing a history of the Holiday Theatre and to document the children's theatre movement in British Columbia. Also included is an audio recording of an interview conducted by Rushton.
