Series consists of correspondence, financial records, meeting minutes, pamphlets, programmes, clippings, and other documents related to the Scottish Dramatic Society, the St. Andrews and Caledonian Society, and the Central Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, and Hood's involvement therein.

The fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, clippings, photographs, printed material, memorabilia, and other documents related to Hood's personal life and interests, his writing, and his career in real estate and financial management. Also included are documents related to Hood's involvement in the Canadian Authors Association, the St. Andrew's and Caledonian Society, the Scottish Dramatic Society, and the Central Presbyterian Church in Vancouver.
