It includes photocopies of letters to, from, and about Pauline Johnson, copies of printed material, as well as two articles about Johnson. Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her father was a hereditary Mohawk chief of mixed ancestry and her mother was an English immigrant.

Fonds reflects a portion of Walker Gill Wylie’s career in gynecology and hospital management. Contents include manuscripts of reports, lectures, and papers produced by Wylie. There are also several periodicals from various professional associations that he was associated with. There is also a letter regarding the provenance of the fonds after Wylie’s death.

The fonds consists of a copy of Pell's last will and testament, as well as one album containing photographs, prints, and crests collected by Pell documenting his travels in the 1870s. Many of the photographs are labelled by location, and place names include Aden, Alexandria, Batavia, Isle of Wight, Cairo, Hong Kong, Java, Marseilles, Naples, Rangoon, Singapore, and Suez. Also included in the collection is a page of crests of nobility, and two print portraits, one of Christine Nilsson and the other of Adelina Patti.

Fonds consists of a scrapbook related primarily to Wooton's work as a Vancouver Parks Board superintendent, but also containing several personal documents such as photographs, cards and Wooton's Free Mason certificates. Parks board related material in the scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, photographs of Vancouver parks, beaches, pools and other facilities, correspondence and manuscript notes. The scrapbook appears to have been maintained by Wootton's wife, Marion Wootton, as it contains a number of letters of condolence to her after Mr. Wootton's death. Fonds also contains a separate photograph, of the Vancouver Parks Board Commissioners 50th anniversary lunch, October 29 1939.

Fonds consists in part of the collected family histories of the direct ancestors and relatives-by-marriage of Dorothy Jean Zoellner (nee Whitham) including family photographs and family correspondence. A significant portion of this collected component is represented by the body of photographic work attributed to Zoellner’s father, J.D. Whitham. A further significant portion is a suite of 8mm films depicting the family life of Dorothy and W.J. Zoellner in the 1950s and 1960s, in and around British Columbia’s southern interior, including locations such as Kelowna, Christina Lake, and Grand Forks, B.C.

Fonds also consists in part of the records created and/or contributed to by Zoellner herself during her lifetime, with specific reference to her activities with the Okanagan Historical Society. The preponderance of these materials are born-digital resources to be extracted from 3.5” floppy diskettes.

The collection consists of a bound volume containing J.C. Dudgeon's autograph collection of many prominent American political figures, military leaders and literary men and women. Political autographs Include members of the United States Congress of 1861, U.S. President Millard Fillmore, Senators and Representatives of the United States from 1867, and Governors, Commanders and Bishops from 1867, Literary figures include Henry W. Longfellow, Anna Dickinson, Horace Greeley, and others.

The fonds consists of four series – Personal Materials series, Bollert Family series, Artifacts series, and Photographs series. They feature correspondence to and from members of the Bollert Family, information and notes used in speeches on various subjects to various groups given by Mary Bollert, collected newspaper clippings relating to members of the Bollert family, as well as several personal diaries and notebooks. The documents focus on the immediate family of Mary Bollert and include records she collected. The fonds also consists of 512 photographs, many of them portraits of members of the Bollert family.

The fonds consists of records and ephemera pertaining to John Laurence Russell Meredith and his family from 1863 to 1990. Records and ephemera pertaining to his father’s life are of genealogical interest as they provide insight into who he was. Records pertaining to his sister’s death show the painstaking detail the family took in providing a meaningful burial for her. The UBC ephemera provides a glimpse into Laurence’s social life at UBC. The music and theatre programs show his interest in the arts from a young age. The photographs provide valuable information on who his family was, what Laurence liked to do, and the activities in which he participated. His diary, letters received by him, and a list containing the translation of various words and phrases of the language of the Kwakwaka'wakw First Nation provide insight into who he was as a person.

The fonds consists of the incoming and outgoing correspondence of Rev. Thomas Crosby and his wife, Emma Douse Crosby, manuscripts, documents, printed material, photographs, and sketches pertaining to missionary work and family life. The correspondence includes letters written and received by Thomas Crosby on behalf of the Port Simpson people relating to land issues and letters written by Emma Crosby to her mother during her early years at Port Simpson.

The Thomas K. Fleming research collection consists of materials related to the settler colonial history of British Columbia, and more broadly, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. The fonds consists of legal documents collected by John Keenlyside over the last thirty five years. The documents give insight into the formation of British Columbia's legal system when it consisted of two colonies. The legal records (including writs, testimony, judgements, and other court documents) were produced by judges, magistrates, defendants, claimants, and other relevant parties. Some figures of historical significance who created legal records in this fonds are the first judge in BC, the first Attorney General, and BC's earliest clergy, businessmen, and other prominent figures from the colonial period.

The fonds consists of textual and photographic records relating to personal, business and financial matters of the Wilkinson family and their lives in British Columbia in the twentieth century. The fonds includes individual photographs and a photograph album depicting locations of the lower mainland and Vancouver Island, student group photographs and images of family members and individuals. The textual records pertain to the personal correspondence of the members of the Wilkinson family, school records, an appointment book, a diary, sketchbooks of international travel, personal financial records and statistical records relating to British Columbia logging practices.

The fonds reflects George du Maurier’s life and career as an illustrator and writer. Graphic materials include 66 hand drawn illustrations and cartoons for Punch or Once A Week magazines as well as for books he authored himself. These graphic works were drawn primarily with black and brown ink or with graphite from 1856 through to his death in 1896. Also included with his graphic works is a print from the 1896 edition of Vanity Fair magazine. Records relating to personal correspondence written by or for du Maurier are also included in the fonds. First editions of "The Martian", "Trilby", and "Peter Ibbetson Volumes I and II" by du Maurier, as well as "Pictures of Life and Character" by John Leech and "Americans" drawn by C.D. Gibson, were also donated with the fonds that are now catalogued and available in the UBC library.

The collection consists of a letter from Sir John Franklin, Great Bear Lake, to Robert McVicar, 1826; a telegram from S.L. Tilley to Hon. Dr. Helmcken, April 1, 1871, referring to the admittance of British Columbia into Confederation, a document signed by Charles Dupont referring to a land transaction to what is now known as Vancouver, and an invitation to the opening of the new Parliament Buildings in Victoria, 1898.

The fonds reflects Philip J. Thomas’ involvement with the folk song community. This includes his research into British Columbian folk songs and his publications on the subject. The fonds also reflects his role as an art teacher, including cards he received from his students and photographs of paintings created by his students. The fonds also contains evidence of his personal life and career, both prior to and during his involvement with the folk song community, and some evidence of his role as a musician, including records related to performances and musical composition.
