The fonds reflects Winch's various interests in the cause of humanity ranging from capital punishment to the protection of fur-bearing animals. The files also contain much valuable information on the activities of the C.C.F. and his role within the party. To a lesser extent, the files contain information on his earlier activities within the labour movement and events during the depression of the 1930's.

Fonds consists of records that reflect McKenzie's law and political career. Records include correspondence, speeches and articles, ephemera collected by him, scrapbooks documenting various campaigns and printed materials related to C.C.F. and labour movements.

A small portion of records were created by McKenzie's brother, Arthur McKenzie. These include correspondences and articles written by Arthur in the form of clippings.

The fonds consists of records reflecting McDonald's career with the Greater Vancouver Regional Planning Board. It includes subject files, press clippings, and printed material. The fonds also includes records relating to planning the development of Kitimat, B.C. and in the province, in general.

The fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, receipts, invoices, printed material, and related items pertaining to the activities of the Pitt Meadows Japanese Farmers' Association (1937-1942) and the Canadian Japanese Association in Vancouver. There are references to the Japanese Language School and the town of Mission, as well as printed material pertaining to the Sino-Japanese War.

The fonds consists of constitutional papers, minutes, and bylaws, media coverage files, correspondence, newsletters, financial records, and subject files pertaining to visitors and guests, committees, projects, charter flights and club associates.

The fonds consists of photocopied minute books of the Finnish Workers' Association "Raivaija" (1910-1918), Finnish Organization of Canada, Local No. 55 (1934-1969), and Webster's Corner Socialist Local (1922-1955). The fonds also includes photocopies of financial records of Local No. 55 (1949-1957) and of subject files pertaining to the development of the Finnish culture in Canada.

The fonds consists of drafts of a long version and a short version of an unpublished manuscript, "Running Scared", as well as notebooks and subject files dealing with the consequences of dieselization of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in the Revelstoke Division betweek 1957 and 1984. Powell collected extensive documentation from the relevant unions, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the United Transportation Union, in response to this event and it is included in the fonds.

The fonds primarily contains the organizational, administrative, and operational records of the V.I.P.O.W.C. and the Irish Solidarity Committee dating from 1977 to 1994. The fonds also includes 165 audio cassettes of Saoirse Eirleann. The fonds divides into three series: The Textual Material Series, the Saoirse Eirleann Audio Cassette Series, and the Events Material Series.

The fonds consists of correspondence, subject files and photograph albums pertaining to the Fullers' professional careers, labour activities and personal lives. The fonds also contains materials which reflect the activities of the Labour History Provincial Specialist Association of the BCTF and the Sechelt Indian Curriculum Project and a film, "For Twenty Cents a Day".

The fonds consists of records relating to the railroad transportation industry and the role of the Canadian Shopcraft Union and railway workers. The correspondence, legal records, union data, reports, newsletters, and other printed material focuses upon the labour movement and the divergent paths between Canadian and American organized labour in the 1980's.

The fonds consists of press releases, correspondence, cassette tapes of poetry readings, newsletters, forms, membership lists, statements, agendas, minutes, circulars, journals, a constitution, pamphlets, and floppy disks.

The fonds consists of the records of the B.C. Youth Parliament dating from its first session in 1924. It includes journals of the House, correspondence relating to sessions and group activities, membership lists, reports, press clippings, press releases, records relating to playground development in urban housing complexes, records reflecting the administration and operations of the Parliament, and photographs.

The fonds consists of materials relating to the work of projectionists, theatre management and safety. Fonds includes newspaper clippings and audio cassettes of interviews with retired union members conducted in 1988.

The fonds consists of research files compiled during the writing of Paul Phillip's No Power Greater: A Century of Labour in British Columbia, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, political education material, history questionnaires and minutes of the Federation and affiliated associations. Five subsequent accessions have resulted in the deposit of office files, financial records, briefs, convention proceedings, speeches, memoranda, photographs and sound recordings reflecting the wide scope of activity and interest pursued by the Federation.

The fonds consists of administrative and organizational records created by the British Columbia Dieticians and Nutritionists Association.

The fonds consists of minute books, correspondence, photographs, newsletters, historical accounts, printed material and ephemera which reflect the Association's mandate to help camp leaders coordinate camping work in the province, establish standards and safeguards for camping and to stimulate community interest in the activity.

The fonds includes records of the 11th, 13th-18th, and 20th International Congresses of the W.I.L.P.F., as well as printed material on military expenditures, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, peace, and the polar regions, and also contains evidential records pertaining to W.I.L.P.F. operations. An accrual was added in 2007 containing printed material, minutes, correspondence from 1988-1997, financial and other operations records, ephemera, and records relating to the creation of the Canadian section and the drafting of its constitution. An additional accrual was added in 2015 including video recordings of W.I.L.P.F. and affiliated organizations events, and other organizational records.

In addition, the fonds consists of the records of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen (.27 m, 1942-1968), the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen (5.25 m, 1919-1969), the Vancouver Joint Council of Railway Unions (.55 m, 1971-1984), and the Vancouver Rail Task Force, (1 m, mainly 1977-1982).

Lists of members, names of executives, dues statements, labour legislation, benefit plans, membership applications, applications to represent groups of workers and to void agreements, manuals, pamphlets, newsletters, agreements, etc. are included among the material.

The fonds consists of union audits, case files, source files, union newspapers, convention reports, financial records and related material pertaining to research work conducted by the company on behalf of various unions. Also included is a small amount of TURB's own administrative records.

The collection consists of records covering the period from the granting of the Victoria and Esquimalt Telephone Company charter in 1880 to 1982 when B.C. Telephone Company employees were laid off without notice. It includes union minutes, arbitration details, correspondence, press clippings, constitutions, agreements, and financial reports relating to the Telecommunications Workers Union of B.C.

The fonds consists of Executive Board minutes and general office files as well as correspondence, reports, speeches, questionnaires, minutes and agendas, printed material, and subject files relating to the following program committees of SPARC Committees on Aging, Coalition on Children, Youth, and the Law, Health Committee, Panel on Handicapped, and Transportation Committee. Other records relate to various topics such as financial resources, housing, patient's rights, long term care, and organizational skills.

The fonds consists of a letterpress copybook containing his outgoing letters as Premier of British Columbia (1898-1900), as well as financial records, correspondence and other material relating to the Dominion Ranch, Semlin and Stuart and the Interior Stock Raisers' Association (1870-1918).

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, notes, speeches, minutes, press releases, clippings and printed material arising from Shearer's career as social activist, planner, and teacher (1975-1988). Records include much material relating to the Solidarity Coalition, human rights, and the Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of British Columbia.

The fonds consists of records related to the Service, Office, and Retail Workers Union of Canada’s (SORWUC’s) local chapters 2 and 4 administrative activities, organizing endeavours and legal proceedings. Although the records are primarily related to the United Bank Works (UBW), local 2, and Bank and Finance Workers Union, local 4, many records are related to SORWUC’s national activities as a trade union. These activities include organization and certification of new bargaining units, filing unfair labour practices on behalf of union members, pamphleting and raising funds for the union as a whole, organizing strikes, and fighting court battles for the right to organize in new sectors, such as the banks. Additionally, SORWUC kept various reference materials on topics related to feminism and the rights of laborers. The fonds reflect these different organizational activities in three series: Legal, Organizing, and Administration.

The Legal series consists of records related to the union’s legal activities. These records include Unfair Labour Practice (ULP) charges filed against banks and heard by the Canadian Labour Relations Board (CLRB), applications for certification in the CLRB, notes, correspondence, news clippings, and legal briefs.

The Organizing series consists of material relating to the organizing activities of SORWUC, including correspondence, research, membership forms, sign-up sheets and information relating to bank branches seeking certification. Also included are contract proposals, organizing committee papers by branch, and minutes of negotiation meetings, press clippings and press releases.

The Administration series relates to the various administrative activities of SORWUC locals 2 and 4; including financial activities, research for court cases, as well as related issues to the union such as unemployment and racism; public relations documents including press releases; and minutes of meetings.

This fonds contains records of the Service, Office and Retail Workers Union of Canada (SORWUC) from their active life between 1972 and 1986. The records pertain to the functioning of the National Headquarters, Local sections and the union as a whole within its communities. The content of the records is primarily focused in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, but the union's influence reaches a national level including activity in the prairies, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. While the central concern of SORWUC was directly related to unionization, the records also concern feminist activity and the pursuance of equal rights for women in society. The material is in the form of correspondence, financial records and statements, various publications, and photographs.

The Plaunt correspondence contains a detailed record of the events surrounding the history of the Canadian Radio League, the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commission (1932), and the Act creating the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Electric Office Employees' Association minutes (1921-1955) and office files (1929-1962); OEIU, Local 378 minutes (1955-1964); OTEU, Local 378 minutes (1964 -1980) and office files (1952-1978); office files for the various B.C. Electric and B.C. Hydro affiliates (1962-1978) and miscellaneous subject files. The latest accession consists of records relating to labour arbitrations between the Labour Relations Board of B.C. and Union employees.

The fonds consists of reports of the proceedings of the first semi-annual convention of the OBU at Winnipeg in January (1920) and the second held at Port Arthur in September (1920). Also included are the results of voting in the OBU locals throughout Canada and brochures on the goals of the organization.

The fonds consists of the records of the Carnegie Community Centre Association's activities and reports for the period 1986-1987. The records include the Board's administration and financial reports and printed material from both the Centre and external social organizations - government and private.

The fonds consists of minute books for Carpenters' Locals 1735 (1922-1977) and 1081 (1953-1972) and the Piledrivers' Local 1549 (1944-1954). The fonds also includes correspondence, subject files, collective agreements and financial records from the union offices in Prince Rupert and Kitimat/Terrace.

The fonds consists of minutes of Council No. 7 (1902-1921, 1938-1951), minutes of Council No. 4 (n.d.), financial records, agreements, membership and attendance records, towboat grievances, printed material, credit union material, all relating to the NAME. Also included are Ladies' Auxiliary records and L.H. Charlton's correspondence.

The fonds consists of photocopies of minute books of the Gay Alliance Toward Equality (1971-1980), photocopies of selected items in the files of the organization and a list of files created by G.A.T.E. The fonds consists of two series: Administrative Files and Subject Files. The Administrative Files series consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, financial statements, and the constitution and policies and principles guidelines for the organization. The Subject Files series contains files of a variety of subjects with which the Gay Alliance Toward Equality dealt.

The fonds consists primarily of records arising from a Boag Foundation-sponsored conference in 1983 based on the theme "Meeting the Challenge of the Eighties and Beyond." Many of the participants were prominent members of the New Democratic Party. Other materials in the fonds include correspondence of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee of the Provincial NDP (1977), political educational material from the Canadian Labour Congress, notes and press clippings.
