The fonds consists of materials related to Mabel Taylor's nursing career and international travels. The materials document the professional life and world travel of an independent woman in the first half of the twentieth century. Record types include diplomas and certificates of nursing, travel documents including Taylor's passport and visas, correspondence related to job openings, as well as Taylor's written exam for obtaining a drivers' license in Durban, South Africa.

Fonds reflects William A. Paskins’ early career in naturopathy, including his presidency of the Association of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia. The material appears to be from the 1940s and 1950s and includes transcripts and copies of speeches, lectures, and publications by Paskins. One publication featured in this fonds is the typescript for a book entitled "How to be happy and healthy though civilized; psychosomatic medicine for psychosomatic diseases".

Material Includes a typescript copy of notes for speech given at the Vancouver Rotary Club (1956) entitled “Vancouver in Relation to the Arts.”

Fonds consists of personal documents created and kept by Stefan Arnason, mostly in the form of diaries which document his family’s life from 1936 until his death in 1956. Some earlier diary entries, from 1906-1912, document Arnason’s life before his marriage, in Winnipeg and Piney. Diary entries pay particular attention to employment, family occasions and important events, and the weather. Fonds also contains some loose correspondence and notes, and several notebooks which appear to have been used during Arnason’s school days (including one “Nokkur sönglög,” containing Icelandic songs).

Fonds consists of biographical material, diaries, correspondence, photographs and memorabilia. Of particular interest is the large volume of letters written by Holland to her mother from June 1915 to July 1917 from overseas.

These sketches were commissioned for an article on UBC in the ILN, 22 September 1956 (pages 467-470). Some have captions or notes attached, and notes on the verso regarding those printed in the ILN. The Library acquired them in January 1991. The drawings include the UBC Library's interior, the Library from the outside, the exterior of the Science Building, view looking north from the top of the Science Building, Brock Hall, the War Memorial Gym, the Wesbrook building, and an experiment in a laboratory in the Science Building.

Fonds documents G.G. Moe's professional activities as professor of agronomy and as a member of various university and agricultural committees, as well as his personal and family history. The fonds consists of records of Watter's work on a variety of publications and as editor-in-chief of the Anthology. Fonds includes correspondence with individuals associated with the publication (1956-1958), correspondence with contributors (1957), manuscripts of articles and poems (both accepted and rejected), page proofs, and reviews of the book (1958). Also included is a typed manuscript for the "Checklist of Canadian Literature".

The fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, clippings, photographs, printed material, memorabilia, and other documents related to Hood's personal life and interests, his writing, and his career in real estate and financial management. Also included are documents related to Hood's involvement in the Canadian Authors Association, the St. Andrew's and Caledonian Society, the Scottish Dramatic Society, and the Central Presbyterian Church in Vancouver. The fonds also contains a subfonds consisting of Hood Brothers' correspondence and financial records.

The Operational records series features the following record types: correspondence; catalogues and reference books from electrical and automotive equipment suppliers; rental contracts, requisitions, and orders from clients; ledgers recording Hoffmeister employees’ work for various clients; electrical permits from the City of Vancouver; and miscellaneous ephemera and objects, likely belonging to Reinhart Hoffmeister.

The Accounting records series includes the following record types: personal income tax records from Reinhart Hoffmeister; corporate tax records; monthly time books for employees; various bank books; samples of bills paid to maintain the company’s premises; insurance policies, leases, and deeds for various Hoffmeister properties; duplicate copies of client invoices; and ledgers.

The fonds consists primarily of material accumulated during a survey of Hong Kong undertaken by the Department of Geology between 1923 and 1933. It is composed of notes, maps and reports generated by Brock and his associates. There are also some papers from the files of the Department of Geology. The papers have been roughly sorted according to form. Also included are several non-UBC publications initially kept in the Brock family library.

The fonds consists of records created and compiled by Gladstone Murray and the Responsible Enterprise association. Records are related to the annual dinners (1959-1961) put on by the association, as well as printed materials published or collected by the association. In order to reflect this the fonds is divided into two series: Annual Dinner series and Printed Materials series. Record types in the Annual dinner series include minutes, correspondence and reports. Records in the Printed Materials series include cartoons, newsletters, bulletins, and magazine articles.

Fonds consists of records relating to Dr. Harry Mark Draggatt's philatelic interests and contains biographical information about Dr. Daggett including his birth certificate, grade school and high school report cards, University Diplomas, and a number of photographs. The fonds is made up of three series as determined by the creator. The series are Literature Study Group, BA Clips, and Personal.

The fonds consists of eleven audiotapes, comprising over four hours of interviews with well-known Canadian artists, including B.C. Binning and Jack Shadbolt. The fonds consists of a single audiotape series, arranged alphabetically. In these interviews, Adaskin examines each artist's unique creative process through probing and often unorthodox questions.

The fonds consists of 11 reel-to-reel tapes holding audio. Content includes capture of speeches and ambient audio of various events including dedications, conferences, and interviews.

Fonds consists of several essays and one publication. It includes an annotated copy of a paper written by St. Clair-Sobell, an essay about Leo Tolstoy, a biography of Ornest D. Durnovo with related correspondence, and written remarks by a Soviet commentator on one of St. Clair-Sobell's papers. The publication is a course calendar from Karl-Franzens-Reichsuniversitat (University of Graz, in Austria) for the winter semester 1944/45.

Also included are several research papers relating to the effects of hydro-electric dams on fish populations. Many of these reports were produced by the University of British Columbia faculty, including Edgar C. Black and William S. Hoar.

Fonds reflects E.M. Delafield's career and interests as a writer and lecturer in the early decades of the twentieth century. Some of the items in the fonds were also made or received by persons related to E.M. Delafield. Textual records in the fonds consist of letters related to Delafield's research and writing on the British author Charlotte Yonge and unpublished manuscripts, plays, short articles, book reviews, and lectures written by Delafield pertaining to her interests in Charlotte Yonge, women, religion, the lives of the British upper class, and other subjects. The fonds also includes clippings, obituary notices, photographs, and records related to the writings of Lorna Lewis. Fonds consists of reports and printed material from the Fraser River Model Project (1948-1963) acquired from Dr. Pretious and the Applied Science Reading Room. The classification system is Pretious's own. The records were maintained in the order they were received.

The fonds consists of financial records of the Humbird family and records of various companies in which they had interests, including: Victoria Lumber and Manufacturing Company, Limited; Clearwater Timber Company; Humbird Lumber Company, Limited; Jacob Humbird Holding Company; White River Lumber Company; and Seaboard Shipping Company Limited.

Fonds also includes photographs, family financial records (distinct from company financial records), legal records, maps, correspondence, and press clippings. Photographs include photograph albums of the Victoria Lumber and Manufacturing Company Limited, an album of photographs pertaining to the family's interests in Mason and Clayton, Wisconsin, and Sandpoint, Idaho, and photographs of family members and employees of the companies. Family financial records include records pertaining to the estates of Jacob Humbird and the elder John A. Humbird, as well as financial record books of John A. Humbird and Thomas J. Humbird. Correspondence is divided between company business and historical research about the companies (by family members). Press clippings are predominantly about the Chemainus and Mason operations.
