The fonds is organized in three series: College And University Papers (including the sub-series Pomona/Stockton Numbered Files, Other College Files, Toward Dissertation & Dissertation I, and Lectures and Other Professional Papers), Personal Papers, and Cooke / Pulpit Publications (including the sub-series Correspondence, Provenance Studies, General Notes, Drafts, and Printouts, and Bound Computer Printouts). Where Spaulding's original arrangements were still apparent and considered practical, they have been retained – otherwise the files are arranged in chronological order.

The collection also incorporates materials collected by Glenn Drover, former Director of the School of Social Work (1983-90). Drover was an accomplished scholar and a dedicated advocate for social justice in Canada and globally. He was recognized for his lifetime contributions to Canadian social work when the annual national social worker award was named the Glenn Drover Award for Outstanding Service. He worked with the Cree in the North, with youth in New York City, people in various countries of Africa and Asia, and various social welfare programs.

Fonds consists of material documenting Ian Slater's writing career. It includes 80 5 ¼ inch computer floppy disks containing different versions in digital format of Slater's works of fiction dating from 1981 to 1998. All digital manuscripts were originally typed in plain-text format on DOS 3.1 or 3.2. The fonds also includes a heavily-annotated copy of the second (2003) edition of Slater's Orwell: The Road To Airstrip One.

The fonds consist of records relating to the founding and running of the Health Sciences Historical Society and documents relating to the running of the B.C. branch of the Canadian Society for the study of the History of Science and Philosophy of Science. This includes drafts and copies of the Society’s constitution, correspondence, newsletters, meeting minutes, agenda, mailing lists, reports, a lecture transcript, and a notebook recording event attendees with programs and menus stapled in. The fonds consists of documentation regarding specific courses, accreditation, correspondence, surveys, interdepartmental memoranda, sample student work, and brochures. Most of the documentation originates from the office of Engineering Physics under the directorship of Prof. Edward Auld. Dr. Jon Nakame accumulated the CEAB Accreditation materials. In general, these documents reflect the Director of Engineering Physics' role and interests, and specifically Prof. Edward Auld. They underscore Engineering Physics' relationship to the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Faculty of Applied Science.
The first series consists of files that were collected and organized chronologically by Engineering Physics. Subsequent series include documentation regarding specific courses within Engineering Physics and documentation relating to the accreditation of Engineering Physics by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board during the 1990s and 2000s. There are 350 prints and 260 negatives included in the Photographs series, most of which were taken in the 1990s.

The collection consists of materials related to Aboriginal Peoples’ land claims and forestry practices in British Columbia and worldwide. Materials include correspondence, press clippings, publications, and reports.

The fonds consists of approximately 1,750 35 mm. negatives of photographs taken between 1994 and 2008 by Longson. Over the years, several of her images were used to illustrate Christmas and other greeting cards for various University units. In addition, selective prints from the negatives have been scanned and added to the online photographic database. The fonds also includes printed and electronic samples of the cards created from the Longson images and digital copies of some photos stored on CDs.

Highlights of the set designs in this fonds include his work on Shiney’s Head, Lonesome Dove The Series, Harvey, The Beachcombers, and Burton Cummings Going For Gold – a CBC production.

Fonds consists of materials related to David Measday from his time as a graduate student at Oxford to his post-retirement work at UBC. The fonds primarily include material regarding his research, academic writings, and administrative duties at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, reports arise from various international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with which Measday had some association. Organizational records include materials for the development of TRIUMF. There is also a small amount of teaching material from lectures and physics courses taught by Measday. Material is organized into series based on intuitional association, most of which is from Measday’s time working at UBC and TRIUMF.

This includes photographs of electron microscope images and illustrations regarding epithelial and endothelial tri-cellular corner tight junctions. Also included are notes, drafts, reviews, and final copies of four publications: “The role of epithelial cell tight junctions in tracheal permeability,” “The reassessment of the tricellular region of epithelial cell tight junctions,” “The structure of the tricellular junctions of pulmonary capillaries,” and “Tricellular corners: preferred sites for leukocyte emigration from the pulmonary vasculature of rabbits".

The fonds consists of material related to David Aberle's research activities, academic work and writing. It includes the notebooks and journals of his fieldwork beginning in 1940-41 and continuing through 1991. These consist primarily of field notes and other notes made during and after those trips. The vast majority of this material relates to Aberle's work with the Navajo in Arizona. The fonds also includes notes, articles, data and codes relating to Aberle's research into kinship and language among the Navajo, Mongols and Athapaskans, and extensive research into Navajo culture and economy. The fonds also includes correspondence on a variety of academic subjects, including Aberle's teaching materials from UBC's Department of Anthropology and Sociology. His work includes several reports written as part of the Navajo-Hopi land dispute. The fonds includes research notes for many of Aberle's essays and articles, as well as chapters and appendixes of his books.

Ames assembled this group of records through his participation on the C.S.A.A. team, which studied the situation. The papers also include Ames's descriptions of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museums Association (1980-1983) and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (1967-1995). The material relating to the Shastri Institute includes records generated or collected by Ames and other members of the Institute at UBC. The names of other members are indicated in the file title. Also, the fonds contains manuscripts and drafts, records about Ames's research, courses taught by Ames, a variety of conferences and seminars, and records about Ames’ participation in several museum studies program reviews.
