Where correspondence and photographs were stored separately by the records creator, they have been retained together in series according to their document type; otherwise, file integrity has been respected and these materials may be found in other series as well.

A significant amount of material, consisting primarily of copies of photographs obtained by Stacey from various archival institutions, has been removed.

Notebook containing a copy of "The Totem Poles in Stanley Park" by Rev. John C. Goodfellow, photographs taken from "Potlatch and Totem and the Recollections of an Indian Agent" by W. M. Halliday, and letters and photographs of Vancouver artist George Norris. The notebook also contains a cover letter from Leonard A. Woods about the materials in the notebook and some background information about Norris, as well as newspaper clippings and ephemera.

The collection consists of unique and rare materials related to Igor Stravinsky, first edition scores, programs, writings, articles, and newspaper clippings about Stravinsky, and photographs of the composer.

Advertising and PR project records include ads designed by Mayrs; administrative and ephemeral materials associated with Dome Advertising; and a small number of textual records relating to Mayrs’ work at Lovick BBDO. Personal records include Mayrs’ documentation of his family history; press clippings that profile Mayrs; and other photographs and ephemera that relate to his personal and aggregate professional life.

The collection spans the full range of years that the press was in operation and demonstrates the breadth of their letterpress work.

It contains a series with books such as artists’ books and chapbooks that were printed by the press and another that collects ephemeral material such as greeting cards and promotional material for businesses.

Material Includes a typescript copy of notes for speech given at the Vancouver Rotary Club (1956) entitled “Vancouver in Relation to the Arts.”

The collection consists of documents, archival records, photographs, ephemera and artifacts related to three broad themes: British Columbia history, immigration and settlement and the Canadian Pacific Railway Company. Included are the archival fonds of the Yip family and Yip Sang Company, the Dart Coon Club and Chinese Freemasons of Victoria, Hugh G. Robinson (regarding the S.S. Greenhill Park Explosion), Rev. MacDonnell (regarding the Clandonald colony of Scottish immigrants in Alberta) and the British Columbia Coast Steamship Service. Includes documents, ephemera and artifacts of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, including records of travelers on CPR rail and steamships.

The fonds consists of typescripts, handwritten drafts, notes and reviews relating to plays written, performed, or directed by Panych. Also included are photographs relating to his theatre career and biographical material, including school transcripts and video cassette tapes of an episode of Da Vinci's Inquest that Panych directed. Fonds consists of assorted materials relating to Emily Carr, and Ruth Humphrey's friendship with her. They include forty-seven letters from Carr, dating from the period 1937-1944 when Humphrey was travelling. The fonds also includes Humphrey's own transcripts and notes on the Carr correspondence; manuscripts written by Carr; copies of works by other authors on Carr; correspondence regarding the publication of the Carr correspondence in the University of Toronto Quarterly; and other Carr memorabilia collected by Humphrey.

The Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection includes textual records, photographs, and a variety of audio-visual materials organized into sous-fonds by creator. The Collection is predominantly textual records; the majority of materials are correspondence and manuscripts, many of which have been microfilmed.

The core of the Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection is the Malcolm Lowry Papers, and the content of the Collection is consequently thematic. Materials pertaining to Malcolm Lowry’s life and works were collected by RBSC from a variety of sources, including Lowry’s friends and family.

The fonds consists of page proofs for Boggs book entitled The International Trade Balance in Theory and Practice (1922), articles and clippings (1912-1925), and class records (1921-1925).

Fonds consists of departmental records from Anthropology and Sociology (1964-2000); Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association records (1970-1979); and material relating to the Simon Fraser University dispute concerning the Department of Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology (1969-1971). Ames assembled this group of records through his participation on the C.S.A.A. team, which studied the situation. The papers also include Ames's descriptions of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museums Association (1980-1983) and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (1967-1995). The material relating to the Shastri Institute includes records generated or collected by Ames and other members of the Institute at UBC. The names of other members are indicated in the file title. Also, the fonds contains manuscripts and drafts, records about Ames's research, courses taught by Ames, a variety of conferences and seminars, and records about Ames’ participation in several museum studies program reviews. Finally, the fonds also contain Ames' involvement with the Museum of Anthropology (MOA). Most records as Director and Acting Director of MOA are held at the MOA Archives. The fonds consists of audio recordings of Weisgarber compositions or performances (1957-1999); musical scores, drafts and sketches (1941-1996); and research materials generated or accumulated by Weisgarber in the preparation of an unpublished biography of Aurelio Giorni, a manuscript entitled “Flute Music of Zen,” and an article "The Honkyoku of the Kinko-Ryu: Some Principles of its Organization" (1968). It also consists of family and personal records, including correspondence, fictitious and biographical writings and journals written by Elliot, Beth, and their family.

Fonds consists of material created and received by MUSSOC from 1924 to 1989, including executive minutes, reports and correspondence, along with the constitution and by‐laws, budget statements, advertisements and production brochures. Also included are newspaper clippings, posters, musical scores, sound recordings of radio advertisements, rehearsal schedules, rental agreements and professional staff contracts. The records are primarily arranged by production.

Fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, reports and manuscripts relating to projects undertaken by Johnson including the "Directory of Canadian Reports" (1974-1977), a proposed library patrons journal (1980-1981), a proposed international librarians journal (1979-1980), and a multicultural publication entitled "Mozaicanadien" (ca. 1984).

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds consists of two series: the Roma Research series and a Publications series composed of copies of Cohn's publications. The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).

The fonds consist exclusively of incoming correspondence from writer George Woodcock to Campbell as co-editor of Atropos. With his letters, Woodcock also included four typescript poems and an essay on Simone Weil published in Atropos. Woodcock also sent Campbell a typescript copy of his unpublished play The Floor of the Night.

The fonds consists of 19 Giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) prints (65 x 60 cm) of British Columbians drawn primarily from his Order of Canada portraits.

The fonds consists of textual documents and audiovisual materials that relate to the filming and production of “Champions for Change.” The textual materials include synopsis and scripts, tape logs, shot lists, transcripts and interview transcripts. A number of the tapes (including #3, #9, #10, #16, #17, #20 and #21) are not transcribed. The audiovisual materials are 26 videotapes, including master copies of the three-part series “Champions for Change,” the master dub tape, and additional footage of interviews with key individuals. The individuals interviewed include Chantal Benoit, Jeff Adams, Chantal Petitclerc, B. MacPherson, Kristine Bacharach, Travis Engen, Dan Gangier, Eric Gagnon, and Rebecca Borneman. The tapes also include stock footage and B-roll shots.

Fonds documents several of Eva-Marie Kröller’s academic projects: her biography of British Columbia author George Bowering, Bright Circles of Colours (Talonbooks, 1992); essays on Roy Kiyooka and Emily Carr; her book Canadian Travellers in Europe, 1851-1900 (UBC Press, 1987); materials relating to her book Writing the Empire: The McIlwraiths, 1853-1948 (2021); an article entitled “Une femme bien en vue”: Adrienne Clarkson and the Media (2014); and an anthology of travel literature that she and historian Pierre Savard were planning, but which was not completed before Savard’s death in 1998 in addition to other various research materials. Also included are documents related to a workshop organized by SATE (Swiss Association of Teachers in English), and correspondence with Canadian authors. The materials consist of textual records (correspondence, notes, drafts, and readers’ reports), published materials, and a 3.5” computer floppy disk containing a digital manuscript of Bright Circles of Colours.

The fonds consists of sketches, photocopies, and paintings of costume and set designs relating to plays that MacDonald has been the principal art director or set designer, as well as, correspondence and press coverage for The Overcoat.

The fonds is organized in three series: College And University Papers (including the sub-series Pomona/Stockton Numbered Files, Other College Files, Toward Dissertation & Dissertation I, and Lectures and Other Professional Papers), Personal Papers, and Cooke / Pulpit Publications (including the sub-series Correspondence, Provenance Studies, General Notes, Drafts, and Printouts, and Bound Computer Printouts). Where Spaulding's original arrangements were still apparent and considered practical, they have been retained – otherwise the files are arranged in chronological order.
