The fonds consists of photocopied research material relating the following individuals - Clifford Sifton, George Foster, Robert Borden, R.B. Bennett, W.S. Fielding, T.A. Crerar, A.K. Cameron and Charles A. Dunning. Also included are minutes, agenda papers and reports from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada on which Prang served from 1973 to 1979.

The fonds consists of one album of photographs taken by Sage between September 1945 and August 1946 at a relocation camp near Tashme, B.C. where she was a social worker. The photographs include general views of the scenery, individuals and groups and some smaller buildings. In addition to the camp shots, there are also pictures of Japanese Canadians preparing for relocation. The album also includes a newspaper clipping, post card and a typescript article about the Tashme Camp. The fonds also includes a small body of correspondence written by Margaret Sage to her parents Walter and Nelda Sage and to her brother Donald (1945/46).

Previously known as the "Ethel Johns Research Collection", the fonds consists of records generated during Street's writing of the biography of Ethel Johns. It includes correspondence (1969-1974) with publishers and the Canada Council which funded the project; transcripts of interviews with students, friends and associates (1969-1970); copies of Johns' addresses and publications (including portions of an unfinished autobiography); and draft manuscripts for the book "Watch-Fires on the Mountains".

Fonds consists of a scrapbook related primarily to Wooton's work as a Vancouver Parks Board superintendent, but also containing several personal documents such as photographs, cards and Wooton's Free Mason certificates. Parks board related material in the scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, photographs of Vancouver parks, beaches, pools and other facilities, correspondence and manuscript notes. The scrapbook appears to have been maintained by Wootton's wife, Marion Wootton, as it contains a number of letters of condolence to her after Mr. Wootton's death. Fonds also contains a separate photograph, of the Vancouver Parks Board Commissioners 50th anniversary lunch, October 29 1939.

Fonds consists of records created or acquired by Marjorie V. Smith in the course of her work at the Centre for Continuing Education, and include correspondence, course materials, reports, photographs, and published materials. The records are arranged in five series: East Indian Programs, Multiculturalism, Indians, Reports on Workshops, and Publications. The arrangement is based on the order in which they were kept in Smith's office and transferred to the Archives.

The majority of the collection consists of over 200 pencil handwritten copies of Martha May Beardmore’s accounts of her work during the First World War in Serbia and Salonika. There are also notes on a presentation she attended, newspaper clippings, and fragmentary documents about the First World War. At the end of the collection is a covering letter from her husband, Harry Beardmore to the UBC librarian which gives some biographical information.

The fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, sound recordings, and notes produced by McAlpine (formerly known as Mary McAlpine Dodds) and related authors, friends, and family. Correspondents include Ethel Wilson, Wallace Wilson, Margaret Laurence, Beverly Mitchell, Nan Cheney, Dorothy Livesay, and others.

The fonds consists of postcards acquired in her travels, mainly in Europe and including Vienna, Paris, and various locations in Italy as well as Canada, United States, New Zealand, Japan, and Barbados. There is also a small amount of correspondence.

The fonds consists of records generated and assembled by Mary Olga Park related to her personal life and associations, materials related to her career as a self-published writer, artist, and spiritual teacher as well as records related to the psychic experiences that she encountered throughout her life. Records span from Park’s early years in England to 1985, and were predominantly created in Vancouver British Columbia. Records from 1986 – 2017 were either added by Susan McCaslin, or Park’s son, Robert Park. The fonds is arranged into three series: Artistic, Literary, and Musical projects, Personal and Administrative Records and Psychic Records.

The Artistic, Literary, and Musical Projects series features drafts of Park’s musical transcriptions and annotated sheet music collection, hymnal book collection, sketches, pastel, and charcoal artwork, and her literary works in various genres, notably drama and poetry. The fonds also includes materials of her published and self-published works, and educational materials related to both her Sunday school position, and her spiritualist teachings. Record types include publications, drafts (typed, handwritten, and hand-annotated), correction notes, poems, manuals, procedures and instructions for her “learners,” Sunday school teaching material, prayers, study series material, sketchbooks and artworks, musical transcriptions, sheet music, and recordings.

The Personal and Administrative Records series contains records related to the personal life and administrative affairs of Park. Park kept detailed subject files on many different religious and spiritual phenomena, spiritualist writers, and completed her own Bible studies. She also corresponded with family, friends, and her “learners.” Record types include Bible study notes and annotations, family history research, education certificates, childhood books, religious and spiritualist publications, newspaper clippings and ephemera, diaries, notes, and personal notebooks, professional and personal correspondence, subject files on spiritualist matters, astrological charts, audio cassettes, photographs, and a postcard collection.

The Psychic Records series aggregates records Park kept throughout her adult life recording various psychic phenomena which she experienced. The records are textual accounts of clairvoyance, clairaudience, “out-of-the-body” experiences, dream visions and soul sight, voices, manifestations, astral encounters, precognition, and healing. Park often referred back to these notes at later dates and annotated their meanings to her as they informed occurrences in her everyday life. These records informed much of her teachings and publications, but were kept separately in her original record-keeping environment.

The fonds consists of the unpublished manuscripts of It Seems to Me, Faith and Fancy, and Broken Crystals. These typescripts date from the period 1935-1950 when Williams was travelling across Canada. The fonds also includes printed and published poems (1936-1945).

The Mavis Hall collection comprises of a variety of printed and photographic materials collected by Margery McCuaig, Hall’s mother, during a trip to Japan, sponsored by the Japanese Tourism Ministry and the Japanese Government Railways, from July-August, 1939.

The collection contains commercially-produced slides, postcards and souvenir photographs, as well as Board of Tourism publications, prints, and a few personal items and memorabilia of McCuaig, such as a passport, scrapbook, and autograph book. McCuaig also collected ephemera from the time she spent on the cruise ship, including daily ship menus, news bulletins, travel brochures, and entertainment programmes, that exhibit her experiences onboard.

The fonds consists of records related to Gaudin's medical career in obstetrics and gynaecology. Record types include Gaudin's certificate of membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and studies and commentary on obstetrical and gynaecological cases. The majority of these studies are bound together in a volume presented to the Royal College by Gaudin.

Collection documents Misty Rose’s career as an exotic dancer from 1979 to 1990 primarily in the Lower Mainland and other locations in British Columbia. The collection includes both colour, and black and white studio photographs of Misty Rose in various scenes, poses, with accompanied props. Newspaper articles and clippings appear in the collection, featuring advertisements, promotional material, event information, and articles about establishments and individuals. Other textual materials includes agency business cards, newsletters, and performer engagement contracts facilitated by various agencies including International Artists, Westcoast Artists, Stripper Entertainment Agency, Choice Entertainment Ltd., The Agency, The Rose Agency and Mink Agency Talent Representatives. Stationary, contracts, memorandums and communications from hotels and establishments where Misty Rose performed also appear in the collection.

The collection consists of 53 photographs of well-known 20th century opera singers, composers, musicians, and directors, as well as a performance program and a print of a portrait painting, given to and collected by Pauline Donalda as mementos of her career. The majority of the photographs are signed and dedicated to Pauline Donalda by their subjects, often with personal comments.

The fonds consists of manuscript copies of "Education in the Bulkley Valley" and "University Extension School of the '30's", both written in the 1930s. The fonds also includes a transcript of her memoirs about her life in the Bulkley Valley, 1914-1962. Relating mainly to pioneers in the Aldermere, Telkwa, Round Lake, and Hubert areas of B.C., the manuscript served as a regional gazetteer of local history and has been published as Rubber Boots for Dancing.

The fonds consists of 71 holograph letters from Ethel Wilson to Cheney, as well as correspondence from Wallace Wilson, Mary [Dodds] and Dorothy McNair. There is also correspondence between Nan Cheney and various artists, including Emily Carr, between the years 1938 and 1984. Cheney's subject files on Canadian artists are included in the fonds, along with newspaper and periodical clippings, memorabilia, photographs and manuscripts.

The fonds contains correspondence, notebooks, and other literary manuscripts of many of the authors represented in the Colbeck Book Collection. The fonds also contains records generated by Colbeck, through his activities as a book dealer and collector, and in the process of cataloguing his collection for UBC. Finally, the fonds contains records created by the Librarian in charge of the Colbeck collection, generated in the process of cataloguing and maintaining that collection. The fonds is arranged in three series based on units that have been amalgamated into the current collection: Manuscript collection ([18--]-1914); Book and manuscript collecting records ([19--]-1988); and Colbeck Book Collection and Colbeck Librarian records (1968-1988).

The fonds reflects Patrice Pratt’s political and labour union careers and her community organization involvement. Records in the fonds relate to Pratt’s various roles within the Federal and Provincial NDP, as President of the BCNDP and as a constituency, committee, council, and party member, the BCGEU and BC Federation of Labour. Records consist of professional and personal correspondence, reports, communications, reference and resource material, convention materials, pamphlets and programs, newspaper clippings, agendas, minutes, resolutions, constitutions, policies, membership lists, campaign and platform materials, publications, campaign buttons, banners and other material. The fonds is divided into three series: Federal NDP, Provincial NDP and Labour Unions. The Provincial NDP series consists of two subseries: BCNDP President and BCNDP Associations, Committees and Advocacy.

As Pratt held various roles simultaneously throughout her career and much of her union work informed her political career, this overlap is reflected in her files. Records are divided into series based on the role held by Pratt at the beginning of the process, resulting in some record dates falling outside the official boundaries of the role she was working in.

Fonds consists of research compiled by art historian and curator Patricia Ainslie. The research relates to both her published writing and her curatorial work at the Glenbow museum in Calgary, AB. Materials include research notes; photocopies of articles and images; correspondence with artists, other curators, and archival institutions; planning documents and lists; photographs of artists and artwork; interviews on audio cassette, DVD, and as transcripts; manuscripts for some of her published work; and exhibition pamphlets.

The fond consists predominantly of materials reflecting Carney's political life. Records from her years in the Official Opposition (1980-1984) and in government (1984-1988) consist of parliamentary reports, minutes from Neighbourhood Nights and correspondence from constituents. The majority of materials reflect Carney's tenure as Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources (1984-1986), and Minister of International Trade (1986-1988). For dates during the evolution of both the Atlantic and Western Accords, these records include correspondence between Carney and provincial premiers, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and provincial Ministers of Energy. Records from the FTA include a copy of the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, correspondence with Simon Reisman, Finance Minister Michael Wilson, Mulroney, and other Cabinet Ministers. FTA materials also include correspondence and newspaper clippings from the tenth anniversary of the FTA. The records also include copious handwritten notes from Carney's participation on the Priorities and Planning Committee of the Cabinet. The fonds also includes records from State Visits of the Prince and Princess of Wales and American Vice-President George Herbert Walker Bush to Expo 86, as well as State Visits by President and Mrs. Reagan of the United States and President and Mrs. Mitterrand of France. The fonds also contains records documenting Carney's career as a Senator, including a series dedicated to the Task Force on Barriers to Women in the Public Service. Also, the records contain a series of Carney's School of Community and Regional Planning teaching materials as well as limited amounts from both her private life and her career as an economic journalist.
The 2011 accrual (Boxes 47-60) consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal notes, reports, photographs, tapes and videos created collected by Carney during her time as a Senator. There is also further material regarding the reception of her autobiography and material from the operations of Gemini North.

The collection consists of research material for Betty Keller's book, "Pauline: The Life of Pauline Johnson". It includes photocopies of letters to, from, and about Pauline Johnson, copies of printed material, as well as two articles about Johnson. Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her father was a hereditary Mohawk chief of mixed ancestry and her mother was an English immigrant.

Fonds reflects Lee’s professional career, investment ventures, engagement with political and social communities, and life with friends and family. It offers particular insight into the social aspects of Lee’s life, as she kept many of the invitations, programs, and other ephemera relating to events that she attended because of her community involvement and philanthropy across all aspects of her life. In addition to a variety of textual records relating to her business ventures, volunteering, and military service, the fonds contains a significant number of photographs that were taken or otherwise collected by Lee and reflect the full range of her life’s facets.

The fonds is divided into five series: Entrepreneurship, investing, and business; Military service; Community and political activity; Personal records; and Photographs.

The entrepreneurship, investing, and business records series relates to Lee’s activities as a businesswoman and investor. Records in this series include financial and legal records, marketing materials, and certificates of recognition.

The military service records series relates to Lee’s time in the ambulance corps and subsequent involvement with initiatives in support of veterans. Records include a limited number of original materials from Lee’s period of service; correspondence and other records including meeting minutes and ephemera documenting Lee’s involvement veterans’ advocacy and recognition efforts.
The community and political activity records series relate to Lee’s involvement in Chinese Canadian community projects and the Social Credit and Conservative parties of Canada. Records in this series include ephemera, correspondence, and meeting minutes that document her involvement with these groups.

The personal records series relates to Lee’s travels as well as her life outside of her work and volunteer efforts. Records include correspondence, ephemera, and certificates.

The photographs series relates to a large number of photo albums and loose photographs that reflect all aspects of Lee’s life.

The fonds consists of scrapbooks constructed by members of the Theta Chapter of the Phrateres, from some of the sub-chapters, and from the UCLA Alpha chapter, to document their activities. Scrapbooks are composed of clippings, pamphlets, photographs, and drawings relating to various charitable and social events sponsored by the organization. The records also include minutes from Theta Chapter and Presidents' and Social Reports. The Operations and Administration series contains records related to the PWN’s administrative activities and day-to-day operations including the Board of Directors’ policies and procedures, operational budgets and applications for operational funding, correspondence with other organizations, strategic planning for the organization, and organizational budgets.

The Support and Education series consists of records related to the PWN’s various resources for training and supporting PWN members, their friends and family, health care providers, and the larger community as a whole. Records relating to the university's founding in its earliest days include records of the early days of Medicine at UBC. Records relating to Indigenous Peoples include the teacher training program and "Native Indian Students at UBC." Documents related to faculties and departments, including Applied Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Forestry, Graduate Studies, VP Finance, Administrative Services, VP Faculty and Student Affairs, Dean of Women, Agricultural Sciences, Dentistry, Education, Law, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Also present are records related to Women at UBC, - including reports on the Status of Academic and Non-Academic Women - Senate Committees and the Board of Governors. Personnel records related to employees, salaries, agreements with Provincial and Territorial Governments and affiliated organizations with UBC, finances, the many UBC committees, advisory groups and records associated with the founding of UBC institutes, foundations, centres and the Faculty Club. Records also relate to teacher evaluations, student discipline, budgets, appointments, new programs, legal opinion, and grant and scholarship awards. Subject files include the Downtown Eastside and the President's Task Force to renew sports services. There are also records related to the University Endowment Lands and the UBC's planning and development of land and buildings. Fonds consists of minutes and agendas, correspondence, publications, reports, photographs, pamphlets, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, artifacts, and other textual records related to Pro-CAN’s mission of: improving abortion access for women; defending their legal rights; protecting providers and clinics from harassment and violence; destigmatizing abortion; and educating the public about reproductive rights. The records include those necessary to fulfill its functions of managing and administrating the organization, advocating and lobbying, and ensuring safety and security, as well as those used as resources. Resources and subject files span the topics of abortion history in Canada and abroad, legal matters, grey literature, information about similar external organizations, and related topics in the news. Pro-CAN also kept extensive files on anti-choice groups and individuals along with their behaviors, photographs, and letters.

The fonds includes records pertaining to Rachel Epstein’s involvement with LARA (correspondence, promotional and educational materials, project files), the establishment of the FLIS (a LARA initiative), International Women’s Day event and committee organization records, and research on the history of domestic and farm workers in B.C. ranging from the late 19th century to the mid-20th.

The fonds predominantly consists of the Household Accounts series, which includes documents supporting the daily activities of the Ralston family from 1956-2003, including bank statements, life insurance documents, receipts, correspondence, and three photographs of Mollie. The Income Tax Files series consists of tax returns and supporting documentation for the years 1965-1996. The fonds also contains a Construction and Upkeep of House series with files related to the construction of the Ralston’s house on West 28th Avenue in Vancouver, built in 1969. The Educational Notes series includes notes written by Keith, Mollie, Bruce and Delia during their grade school and university educations, and includes notes from 1935 to the 1970s.

The fonds consists of eleven undated letters from Ethel Wilson to Ronald Hambleton and two handwritten manuscripts by Wilson, "At what point do I grow old?" (12 p.) and "In defense of a little learning" (15 p.). Also included are three taped interviews with Wilson conducted by Hambleton for the CBC (1955, 1967).

The fonds consists of records which primarily document Sharon Kahn’s activities as Director of Employment Equity (1989-94) and Associate Vice-President, Equity (1994-2005). They are arranged in two series: the Equity Office series, which documents in a general sense UBC’s Equity Office and Kahn’s activities as its head; and the Equity Cases series, which documents two high-profile cases with which Kahn and the Equity Office were involved.
