The collection consists of a bound volume containing J.C. Dudgeon's autograph collection of many prominent American political figures, military leaders and literary men and women. Political autographs Include members of the United States Congress of 1861, U.S. President Millard Fillmore, Senators and Representatives of the United States from 1867, and Governors, Commanders and Bishops from 1867, Literary figures include Henry W. Longfellow, Anna Dickinson, Horace Greeley, and others.

The fonds consists of diaries, photographs, and correspondence of Janet Jenkins. The photographs parallel the diaries and correspondence in documenting her life. Also included is a postscript to the diaries written by her husband, Trevor Jenkins in 1991.

This fonds consists predominantly of photographs and other reproductions of Lansdowne’s work which were created over the course of his career. Artwork contained in the fonds include unfinished drawings and sketches, reproductions and prints, as well as art inventory files which provide details of works that were sold, and for specific named projects. The fonds also includes business and personal correspondence, as well as financial records pertaining to the sale of artwork, Lansdowne’s services as a commercial painter, and his business relationship with M.F. Feheley Arts Company Limited and TDF Artists Limited. Records also include biographical information, awards and ephemera, along with publications containing his work, and newspaper clippings about his work and career. Photographs depict family and friends, Lansdowne at work, as well as publicity photographs.

The fonds consist exclusively of incoming correspondence from writer George Woodcock to Campbell as co-editor of Atropos. With his letters, Woodcock also included four typescript poems and an essay on Simone Weil published in Atropos. Woodcock also sent Campbell a typescript copy of his unpublished play The Floor of the Night.

The fonds consists of screenplays, manuscripts, drafts, notes, and correspondences relating to Jacob Zilber's published and unpublished materials. The fonds also includes biographical and autobiographical material, clippings, teaching records and course materials. It also contains manuscripts by students, materials related to musician and composer Michael Zilber, Department of Creative Writing administrative records as well as various UBC committee records.

The fonds consists of a typescript of Whittaker's reminiscences, "My Sixty (60) Years in the Forest Industry", a poem by Elsie May Whittaker, a typescript and photocopy of "J.W. Whittaker Remembers Friends at Youbou", and selected photocopies from albums created by Whittaker.

Records pertain largely to Youngs acquisition and use of his British Columbia mineral claims during the early 1950s through to the early 1960s. Claims that Young acquired located near Lillooet, and were called the Anita, Sunrise and Margaret mineral claims. Claims acquired near Kamloops, and were called the Speed, Puzzle, and Last Chance mineral claims, and consisted of sodium carbonate and magnesium sulphate lakes. The records consist largely of correspondence, particularly between Young and Gilbert Spears and Young and those who sold him the mineral claims, but also with lawyers and potential clients such as pharmaceutical companies, timber plants, salt plants, and rubber plants. Records also include contracts and other legal documents. Eight photographs are contained in the file regarding the acquisition of the Basque salt lakes.
A small amount of records pertain to the production of a Christmas film in 1952 called Bethlehem, designed by an associate of Youngs. Young and his associate hoped to sell the filmstrip to the National Film Board with the potential for creating future films for them, and the images to a card company with the aim of making Christmas cards from them. Records consist of correspondence and a script.

The Irving Guttman Collection is a large collection of photographs of different people and places in the opera world. There are two different parts of this photographic collection: The first part of the collection includes pictures of Mr. Guttman directing and coaching opera performers, or posing with opera enthusiasts from across the globe. A large bulk of these first photographs are of Mr. Guttman's production of the operas, Norma, Tosca, Traviatta, and Aida. However, other operas such as Madam Butterfly, Daughter of the Regiment, Othello, Carmen and more are included in the Collection.

The second part of the collection consists of autographed portraits of opera performers, and other operatic stakeholders. The list of operatic singers, conductors, composers and directors, includes but is not limited to: Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Leonard Bernstein, Joan Sutherland, Cristina Deutekom, Montserrat Caballé, John Alexander, Tracy Dahl, Marilyn Horne, Linda Roark-Strummer, Huguette Tourangeau, Renata Tebaldi, Clarice Carson, Regina Resnik, Mary Costa, Irene Salemka, Cecilia Bartoli, Judith Forst, Ermanno Mauro, and Sylvia Sass.

Lastly, there is a collection of congratulatory letters to Mr. Guttman for his 25th anniversary as artistic director of the Edmonton Opera.

The Irene Howard fonds consists of general correspondence and materials related to Howard's personal interests and associations, and materials relating to her work as researcher, literary agent and writer. The fonds is divided into eight series: Association involvement and general interest; Interview recordings; Photographs and maps; "Monday Morning" magazine issues; Literary activities; NDP campaigns materials; Materials related to Ronald Liversedge; and Gold dust on his shirt publication records. The IABC fonds reflects the community collecting practices that the IABC undertook to preserve the history of Icelanders in British Columbia. Fonds is arranged in eight subfonds that reflect the various community organizations from which the archives originally collected.

It includes 80 5 ¼ inch computer floppy disks containing different versions in digital format of Slater's works of fiction dating from 1981 to 1998. All digital manuscripts were originally typed in plain-text format on DOS 3.1 or 3.2. The fonds also includes a heavily-annotated copy of the second (2003) edition of Slater's Orwell: The Road To Airstrip One.

Audio-visual materials consist of two films on three 16 mm film reels on the subject of World War II and Japanese culture.
