Materials are arranged in alphabetical order unless otherwise indicated.

The collection consists of research material created or collected by Olof Seaholm pertaining to Swedish immigration and organizations to Canada and North America. The collection mainly consists of general research material related to these themes, but there is some more specialized research into specific areas of Swedish Canadian history, such as the Scandinavian Central Committee and the International Order of Good Templars. Textual records in this collection include minute books, clippings, a constitution, correspondence, research notes, newspaper and magazine issues and clippings, books, and photographs documenting Swedish communities in British Columbia and research material about Swedish activities in North America.

The collection contains four series related to Seaholm's research. They include the Swedish Canadian research material series; Scandinavian Central Committee series; Independent Order of Good Templars series; and the Swedish Canadian Rest Home material series.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the life and literary career of Carol Coates, as well as that of her brother William H. Coates (1899-1976). It includes correspondence, designs, printed material and clippings. It also contains the typescript of tributes to W.H. Coates during memorial services in 1976 as well as the typescript of Carol Coates' "Invitation to Mood" (1974-1975). Accrual consists draft poems, both typed and handwritten, and handwritten school notes from a class Coates attended at UBC.

Amongst Shepherd's papers are those of his wife, Dorothy H. Shepherd, which relate to her work as an executive member of the South Westminster CCF Women's Club (1942-1959).

The fonds consists primarily of clippings and articles relating to international affairs, Chinese customs preserved in Canada, life in Vancouver's China Town and social and political problems confronted by Chinese Canadians. Further, the fonds also contains many complete copies of the Chinatown newspaper, The Chinese Voice; records related to Foon Sien Wong's Chinatown activities through the Vancouver Unity Association, the Canadian Centennial Planning Committee, and other related groups.

Fonds consists of records related to Jack Scott’s activities as a political activist and author, as well as material related to his personal life, from the 1930s through his death in 2000. Records relating to Scott’s political activities include material generated or used by groups with which Scott was involved, such as the Progressive Workers’ Movement (PWM), the Vancouver Study Group (VSG), the Red Star Collective (RSC), and the Chinese-Canadian Friendship Association (CCFA). These records include meeting minutes and summaries; committee lists, agendas, reports, policies, constitutions, financial statements, and other internal documents; position, discussion, and opinion papers and critiques; conference, seminar, and workshop materials; correspondence; materials by or about other communist, socialist, or leftist organizations; papers, articles, speeches, critiques, letters, and reports on related topics; ephemera and publications, such as newsletters and journals; clippings and photographs; and other materials. Records relating to Scott’s writings and publications on socialist and labour movements and other topics include drafts of published and unpublished pieces, research notes, comments and corrections, proofs, and supporting documents, such as correspondence, clippings and photocopies, ephemera, and other materials. The fonds also consists of material related to a libel claim made against Scott and the Committee on Canadian Labour History. These records include copies of court documents, correspondence, Scott’s writings and research on the plaintiffs, ephemera related to the plaintiffs, and other materials. The fonds also consists of material collected by Jack Scott relating primarily to other communist, socialist, leftist, or social justice organizations and arranged by subject either by Jack Scott or by his acquaintances following his death. This material includes photocopies and originals of letters, writings, and other documents; statements, commentaries, bulletins, and other literature; ephemera, such as posters, newspaper clippings, flyers, newsletters, and pamphlets; and speech texts. The fonds also consists of personal papers and documents, including miscellaneous incoming correspondence, oral history interview transcripts and related documents, and correspondence and documents related to Scott’s 1964 expulsion from the Communist Party.

The fonds consists of 71 holograph letters from Ethel Wilson to Cheney, as well as correspondence from Wallace Wilson, Mary [Dodds] and Dorothy McNair. There is also correspondence between Nan Cheney and various artists, including Emily Carr, between the years 1938 and 1984. Cheney's subject files on Canadian artists are included in the fonds, along with newspaper and periodical clippings, memorabilia, photographs and manuscripts.

Fonds consists of documentation of the activities of the UBC Student Christian Movement during the early 1930s and includes a minute book for the SCM “Grad Group” (1930-35), two small SCM promotional pamphlets (1934), and assorted correspondence (1933-34).

The fonds also includes biographical and autobiographical material, college papers, teaching records, non- fiction manuscripts, typescript copies of book reviews by Rule, and personal and professional correspondence. Also included are numerous photographs, maintained both singly and in photograph albums, as well as digital images. Rule's collection of
reviews of her work, audio recordings of interviews and readings, her Orders of Canada and B.C. certificates, and the first XTRA! West Jane Rule Memorial Writer of the Year Award are also included.

The fonds consists of records generated through the various activities of the Ceremonies Office. Included in the fonds are administrative records (1964-1984) as well as records that document the activities associated with Congregation (1950-2006), building openings (1951-1986) and numerous functions sponsored by the University (1962-1995). The fonds also include information about honorary degree recipients, congratulatory greetings to Presidents K. George Pedersen (1983), David Strangway (1985) and various other ceremonial activities. This fonds consists predominantly of photographs and other reproductions of Lansdowne’s work which were created over the course of his career. Artwork contained in the fonds include unfinished drawings and sketches, reproductions and prints, as well as art inventory files which provide details of works that were sold, and for specific named projects. The fonds also includes business and personal correspondence, as well as financial records pertaining to the sale of artwork, Lansdowne’s services as a commercial painter, and his business relationship with M.F. Feheley Arts Company Limited and TDF Artists Limited. Records also include biographical information, awards and ephemera, along with publications containing his work, and newspaper clippings about his work and career. Photographs depict family and friends, Lansdowne at work, as well as publicity photographs.

The fonds is organized in three series: College And University Papers (including the sub-series Pomona/Stockton Numbered Files, Other College Files, Toward Dissertation & Dissertation I, and Lectures and Other Professional Papers), Personal Papers, and Cooke / Pulpit Publications (including the sub-series Correspondence, Provenance Studies, General Notes, Drafts, and Printouts, and Bound Computer Printouts). Where Spaulding's original arrangements were still apparent and considered practical, they have been retained – otherwise the files are arranged in chronological order.

Fonds consists exclusively of a series of portfolios documenting BCFGA conventions from 1932 to 2015. These portfolios contain reports and briefs; letters; agendas, proceedings and resolutions; Presidential addresses; committee and subcommittee records.

The collection consists of records relating to the 1935 On-to-Ottawa Trek and its 50th Anniversary. Included are copied posters, newsletters, proclamations, legal documents, and photographs relating to the original Trek as well as audio tapes, clippings and itineraries from the 1985 anniversary events.
