The Thomas K. Fleming research collection consists of materials related to the settler colonial history of British Columbia, and more broadly, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Record types include correspondence, newsletters, press clippings, printed materials, notes, maps, legal documents, as well as Fleming`s stamp collection and associated records. Historical records in the collection include content primarily from the nineteenth to early twentieth century on such subjects as forestry, travel, commerce, and postal history. The collection has been arranged into two series: Historical Records and Research Subject Files series, and Stamp Collection and Related Materials series.

The fonds reflects the efforts of Bob Williams’ political and business career. Records in the fonds relate to Williams’s various roles: teacher, M.L.A., community planning consultant, Minister, chair of ICBC, and Secretary of Crown Corporations. As such, the records relate both to Williams’ personal career as well as British Columbia's governmental systems of resource management, transportation, forestry, energy, housing, and recreation. Correspondence is featured throughout the fonds; other records types include reports, studies, speeches, notes, legal agreements, bills, acts, notebooks, daily journals, travel memorabilia, presentation materials, photographs, VHS tapes, audio cassettes, optical discs, news clippings, scrapbooks, and transcripts of interviews. The fonds is comprised of four series; Alderman and Member of Legislative Assembly records, Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Water Resources Records series, Crown Corporations Records series, and Business, Personal, and Academic Records series.

The Alderman and Member of Legislative Assembly Records consists of material related to Williams' roles as Alderman of the City of Vancouver and later as M.L.A. for East Vancouver. Records include letters, faxes, telegrams, newspaper clippings, reports, speeches, notes and other related material.

The Ministry of Forests Lands and Water Resources Records series relates to Williams's time spent on the provincial cabinet working under the government of Dave Barret. Records consist primarily of correspondence, especially between Williams and major corporations and individuals in the forest industry. Other records include reports, studies, news clippings, bills and acts, speeches, presentation materials, and transcripts.

The Crown Corporations records series is comprised of documents stemming from Williams' activities as chair of ICBC, and his work in the Crown Corporations. Many records relate to the construction of Surrey City Centre. Record types include correspondence, reports, legal documents, and news clippings.

The Business, Personal and Academic Records series contains records related Williams’ business career, personal memories and diaries, pictures and travel memorabilia, and his experiences meeting other politicians. Record types include planning consultant studies, correspondence, interviews, and materials from his academic career including course outlines and reading lists.

The fonds consists of general correspondence (1937-1991), personal correspondence files (1950-1985), and miscellaneous personal records. Fonds also includes lecture notes, outlines and other materials relating to courses taught by Haddock at University of Washington, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University (1954-1982). In addition, the fonds contains records of his participation with the UBC Speakers Bureau (1976-1987) and subject files. Fonds includes: Biographical Information, General Correspondence (1937-1991), Personal Correspondence Files (1950-1985), Miscellaneous Personal Records, Course-Related Records (1954-1982), and Subject Files.

The fonds consists of records chronicling the history and development of UBC's Research Forests at Point Grey, and Haney, and B.C.'s interior (Cariboo) region. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, proposals, financial records, maps, surveys, blueprints, photographs, and meteorological data. The records also contain information about the operation of the Summer Camp for forestry students (1948-1986).

The fonds consists of both research notes relating to Lawrence's 1957 M.A. thesis Markets and capital: a history of the lumber industry of British Columbia (1778-1952); and later notes, clippings, and publications dealing with politics and the B.C. forest industry which were inter-filed with the thesis material.

The fonds consists of the following series: Dean's correspondence (1968-1981); committee records (1966-1981); staff meetings (1955-1981); course and student records (1970-1981); printed lectures (1950-1982); Federal Government (1976-1982); University Research Forest (1937-1981); Royal Commission on Forest Resources in B.C. (1975/76); Printed Material (1956-1982); Departmental Reviews (1991-1995); Alumni Matters (1971, 1988-1992); Safety Reports and Inspections (1990-1993); Other Institutions (1985-1993); Subject Files (1984-1993); and Forest Economics and Policy Analysis Unit [FEPA] (1988-1991).

Fonds consists of textual records which document Dr. Marchak's scholarship and related professional and administrative activities, and includes correspondence, reports, typescripts of speeches and articles, written notes, contracts, journal off-prints, course materials, conference packages, and newspaper and magazine clippings.
The fonds is arranged in the following series: Published Works, Unpublished Works, Books Correspondence and Reviews, Universities, Organizations, & Associations, Political Science and Mahmoodi/Dutton Affairs, Correspondence Course, and Conferences. Some series are further divided into sub-series. Within each series and sub-series, the records have mostly been retained in their original order.

The fonds consists of correspondence, addresses, reports, printed materials, field notes and clippings relating to Knapp's professional interests and activities. In addition, the fonds contains course materials, minutes of meetings, and administrative records relating to the UBC Faculty of Forestry. The fonds also contains photographs and slides documenting the Faculty of Forestry and its students as well as the University Research Forest.

The collection consists of materials related to Aboriginal Peoples’ land claims and forestry practices in British Columbia and worldwide. Materials include correspondence, press clippings, publications, and reports.

The fonds consists largely of printed material, including pamphlets, advertisements and brochures relating to logging and milling equipment, machinery and buildings from the 1920s. Other records include correspondence to the head of the department H.R. Christie, a planned drawing of Idlewild Seed Extractory and a black and white photo of Coo's Bay Lumberyard in California

Fonds consists of records documenting Stephen Sheppard’s professional and academic activities while he was at UBC. They include textual records (correspondence, reports, written notes, data sets, and published materials), audio-visual recordings, photographs, and digital media. The records are arranged in the following series: Aesthetics And Sustainability (sub-series Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies, and Articles for Publication), Visual Resource Management, Multi-Criteria Analysis, Local Climate Change Visioning, and Forest Management Research (sub-series CALP UBC research publications, Local UBC studies, North Cowichan Community Forest, Clayoquot Reference Materials, and General).

The collection consists of materials collected or acquired from various sources that document the history of the Sopron Division of Forestry and its alumni. In addition, it includes a set of the Kapocs Sopron alumni newsletter.
