Fonds consists almost entirely of materials created or acquired by John Knox over the course of his studies and professional life. The fonds is organized in the following series: Atmospheric blocking and Northern Hemisphere anomalies, Extended-Range and Analogue Forecasting, Climate Trends and Variability, Ocean Weather Station "Papa", Prairie drought ("Dry/Wet"), Cli-Red, and Miscellaneous Professional Activities.

Collection consists of maps (in the form of photocopies, sketches, and photographs) used by Neal Harlow while writing his book The Maps of San Francisco Bay.

The collection consists of maps and plans of the University campus and the University Endowment Lands (now Pacific Spirit Park). The collection was started by UBC Library and is now continued by the UBC Archives. The collection is arranged in several series. The fonds consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, reports, agenda, calendars and printed materials pertaining to the activities of the Department of Geography and its Head (1969-1986). The fonds also contains the Olav Slaymaker Sous-fonds (1975-1976).

The fonds consists of records from the Fraser River Model Project (1949-1962); the Vancouver Harbour and Burrard Inlet Model Project (1953-1956); materials generated in teaching and taking UBC engineering courses (1922-1972), academic materials generated outside of the UBC system, and miscellaneous engineering projects that Pretious participated in his time at UBC (1942-1977). The records have been separated into six different series. Reports and memoranda which were issued as a series have been arranged in series order, but other items were filed arbitrarily under the two projects and have been maintained this way.

The Thomas K. Fleming research collection consists of materials related to the settler colonial history of British Columbia, and more broadly, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Record types include correspondence, newsletters, press clippings, printed materials, notes, maps, legal documents, as well as Fleming`s stamp collection and associated records. Historical records in the collection include content primarily from the nineteenth to early twentieth century on such subjects as forestry, travel, commerce, and postal history. The collection has been arranged into two series: Historical Records and Research Subject Files series, and Stamp Collection and Related Materials series.
