The fonds consists of records related to Zeljko Kujundzic’s role as an artist as well as his role as an educator. There are also records related to his personal life. The fonds consists of three series: artist records; teaching and professional records; and personal and administrative records.

Records relating to the first series, Kujundzic’s artist records are divided into two subseries: artwork and projects, and exhibitions and publicity. The artwork and projects subseries contains records related to the production of his artwork, including drafts, studio works, sketchbooks, writings, poetry, and research and inspiration materials. It also includes several pieces of Kujundzic’s artistic media, such as his metal moulds and woodblock prints. The subseries exhibitions and publicity consists of records relating to Kujundzic’s public appearances and the exhibitions and galleries he was part of. It includes magazine articles, newspaper and press clippings, artwork commissions, posters and pamphlets, and photocopies of articles about Kujundzic and his art.

Records in the series teaching and professional records relate to his role as a professor and as a member and director of arts societies. This series is divided into three subseries: Kootenay School of Arts, Pennsylvania State University, and Professional affiliations. The series Kootenay School of Arts contains records of Kujundzic’s time as a teacher in the Okanagan, B.C., and records relating to the Art Centre in Kelowna. The subseries Pennsylvania State University contains records related to his time spent with the Arts Department of PSU and consists of teaching, lecture and workshop materials, correspondence between faculty, and records relating to his role as a professor. Professional Affiliations subseries contains records relating to the associations and societies he was part of and some that he founded, including the Sculptors’ Society of British Columbia and the Contemporary Okanagan Artists.

Records in the personal and administrative records series includes personal correspondence made and received by Kujundzic, photographs, family and biographical records, CVs, applications, and immigration and travel documents.

The fonds consists of handwritten and typed manuscripts of short stories [n.d.], a painting of a seascape (1933), and a scrapbook filled with assorted memorabilia gathered between 1916 and 1933.

The fonds consists of correspondence, revisions, drafts, notes, theses materials, reviews, photographs and negatives pertaining to Messengers personal life, education, career, research and personal interests and the various publications that he was associated with. The fonds consists of correspondence between Margerie and Malcolm Lowry and William and Alice McConnell (1957-1983) relating to their mutual interests, as well as clippings and articles about Malcolm Lowry collected by the McConnells. The fonds also includes 62 letters between Allan Crawley and William McConnell relating to Crawley's activities (1945-1970). Included also are comments on the Crawley letters by W. McConnell (1985) and a typescript of a short story by McConnell.

The fonds consists of records which document William New's publications, lectures, and other activities between 1947 and 2018. Most of the series are based on published works written or edited by New. The remaining records relate to other projects, prizes, awards, papers, conferences, correspondence, or professional interests. Collectively, these records reflect New's various roles as professor, public speaker, editor, author, and poet.

The fonds consists chiefly of Wiliam Hale White's correspondence with family and friends, manuscript notebooks of his books, published and unpublished manuscripts, subject files, clippings, and bound pamphlets on a variety of philosophical and religous topics. The fonds also contains the correspondence of Dorothy Vernon White as well as notebook manuscripts of her books and the correspondence of Cecily Hale-White (daughter of John Hale White).

The fonds contain materials that document William Fredeman's professional activities and personal life. It consists of correspondence, reports, copies of articles, course materials, a journal, clippings, microfilms and photocopies of original manuscripts, written notes and other research materials, photographs, videocassettes, a set of index cards, and a metal seal bearing the logo of the Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies. The materials are arranged in the following series: Colbeck Collection, JPRAS (Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies), Emily Faithfull and the Victorian Press, Victorian Poetry, T.J. The fonds consist of research material on various medical and historical topics and research for several of Gibson's books and articles, including his books about UBC's first president Frank F. Wesbrook, Ramon y Cajal Sherrington, and his books New Endeavour and Old Endeavour. In addition, the fonds include manuscripts of a number of Gibson articles and speeches and chapters from some of his books, records from Woodward Health Science centre, and documents for the history of the Faculty of medicine and related to Green College UBC and Oxford. Also included are records from the Agricultural Science Fund Committee (1967-1974), School of Rehabilitation Medicine (1953-1961), Master Teaching Awards Committee (1967-1972), minutes from the Council of the Faculty of Medicine (1950-1964), materials relating to Vancouver civic politics (1970-1984), and correspondence with Sir Frederick Dainton (1980-1983), Cecil Green, and Wilder Penfield among many others.

Throughout his education and political careers, the records were generated by William Bruneau and relate both to personal and professional interests.

The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).

The Vancouver Women in Focus Society fonds reflect their activities in video production and distribution, gallery exhibitions, activism and lobbying, community engagement, and research. Materials include correspondence, office files, newsletters, grant applications, sales and rental records, legal documents, catalogues and bibliographies, clippings, posters and flyers, meeting minutes, books, newspaper clippings, and financial records. The fonds also contains several non-WIF records relating to feminist and women’s issues, general art and film, as well as local and federal politics that reflects the context of the time and place in which Women in Focus were operating.

Records relating to the first series, the Administrative series, includes files dealing with the maintenance and upkeep of the society such as: meeting minutes, sales and rental agreements, artist contracts, artist resumes, notes, lease information, WIF newsletters, and legal and court documents. Records relating to the fourth series, the Events series, include files dealing with the Women in Focus Society’s various events that they hosted or participated in. Event records include: publicity for events; project budgets and logistics research; correspondences and press releases about events; documents relating to workshops; research relating to participating in other events. Many records in the Events series relate to project-specific grant applications in the Administrative series.

Records relating to the fifth series, the Resources and Reference series, include files dealing with the Women in Focus Society’s research into related organizations and various of topics of interest. Records related to other organizations include: publicity for non-WIF productions; newsletters from other organizations; and artist profiles. Records relating to topics of interest cover political and social issues as they relate to women and/or art. These records range from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. These files include: government publications; magazines; newsletters; newspapers; zines; pamphlets; and photocopies of books.

Collection is made up of items collected by the UBC library, for an exhibition related to punk in the Irving K. Barber Learning Center lobby. It consists mostly of vinyl’s, with two textual records relating to the history of hardcore punk and D.O.A., both created by D.O.A. Vinyl records are predominantly by D.O.A., Pointed Sticks and The Dishrags, as well as other Vancouver based punk bands. The vinyl records were all pressed in 70s or early 80s, or re-pressings of records from that same period. The re-pressings contain extensive liner notes and other ephemera.

The fonds consists of constitutions, minutes, correspondence, financial records, programs, scrapbooks, speeches, membership lists, clippings, and assorted other material relating to the administration of the organization. In addition, the fonds includes recording of lectures delivered to the Vancouver Institute. The Uno Langmann Family Collection of B.C. Photographs, donated by Uno and Dianne Langmann and Uno Langmann Limited, consists of more than 20,000 rare and unique early photographs from the 1850s to the 1970s. It is considered the premiere private collection of early provincial photos, and an important illustrated history of early photographic methods. The photographs were taken by a wide range of photographers. Some well-known photographers represented in the collection include William Notman, Charles MacMunn, Frederick Dally, Charles Horetzky, Charles Gentile, Philip Timms, Yucho Chow, R. Maynard, and Leonard Frank.

The collection consists of 67 black and white photographs of various sizes taken by Ulli Steltzer in the 1960s and 1970s. Subjects include Northwest Coast Indigenous peoples and artists, Black, LatinX and Indigenous peoples in the USA and Guatemala, and a small number of portraits and still-life. Specifically, the collection contains seven original prints from her important book Indian Artists at Work, including the iconic cover image of Mabel Taylor of Port Alberni weaving a basket, a beautiful portrait of Dempsey Bob carving a human figure, and Haida basket maker Florence Davidson gathering spruce roots, among others. It also contains 14 original prints from her book Coast of Many Faces, including the cover image (Sam Webber and his daughter Laura from Kingcome Inlet), and photos from the Nass River, Alert Bay, Port Neville, Ahouset, Massett and other coastal places. There are eight 1967 - 1968 photographs of Black Americans in the Mississippi Delta, Georgia, and Alabama as well as images of LatinX Americans and Vietnam War widows, as well as photographs of the Maya in Guatemala.

The collection of video tapes consists of three categories: raw footage of UBC events/activities primarily from the 1990s; footage shot by UBC film students for a documentary on the Fraser Canyon region; and a series of interviews with a veteran of the Spanish Civil War. Most recordings are in Betacam format, the remainder are VHS.

The Tremaine Arkley Croquet Collection contains over 2,400 paintings, illustrations, engravings, advertisements, photographs and other ephemera depicting the game of croquet throughout the years. The images range from fine art to cartoons and everything in between, and show the rise in the game’s popularity in England and America in the 19th and 20th centuries. Many items in the collection show gender roles, as croquet was one of the first games that men and women played together.

The fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, and documents relating to the early career of Tom Wayman from 1962 to 1981. The files related to his career as a university student, printed collections of his own poetry, and printed collections of anthologies he edited. In addition, there are correspondence files that are created owing to his writing life as well as files relating to work writing material.
