Memorabilia series

Series consists of documents and other items acquired by Samuel Laycock during his life and career and includes certificates, diplomas, awards; a commemorative wristwatch; twenty Canadian Army badges, buttons, and dog-tags; Mason's badge with its leather case; and a ceremonial Mason's apron.

Fonds consists of textual records and other materials created or acquired in Samuel Laycock's life and career and includes correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, photograph albums, diaries, course materials, published materials, and personal memorabilia. Photographs series

Series consists of six photograph albums, containing 1464 b&w prints, documenting Samuel Laycock's WWI service in Europe and later travels; 1249 other b&w and colour prints, documenting Laycock and his family, friends, travels, and professional activities; and approximately 2800 35mm colour slides documenting his travels. Most of the photographs remain unsorted, although some have titles or other identification on the back.

Personal series

Series consists of records documenting Laycock's personal life and interests and includes manuscripts, diaries, correspondence, and published materials. The materials are arranged in the following sub-series: Diaries, Travel Notebooks, and General.

Subject Files series

Series consists of records documenting Laycock's areas of professional interest and includes correspondence, manuscripts, course materials, and published materials. The materials are arranged alphabetically by subject.

Writing series

Series consists of manuscripts (both typed and handwritten) and notes for Samuel Laycock's books, articles and speeches. The majority of the materials are undated. The materials are arranged in the following sub-series: Books, Autobiography, Lectures, Speeches, Articles, Radio Broadcasts, Book Reviews, and Notes.

ERIBC Survey series

Series consists of records documenting a survey sponsored by the Educational Research Institute of British Columbia (ERIBC) and supervised by Samuel Laycock, a research study of educational facilities for emotionally disturbed children in the schools of British Columbia. Materials include survey forms, correspondence, reports, and published materials.

OTENA series

Series consists of records regarding OTENA, "The Family Life and Sex Education Information Service," and includes correspondence, reports, and published materials.
