Photographs and slides

Series consists of photographs of Hopkins, her friends and family, her home on Galiano Island, as well as two of her ancestors--Margaret Howe Montgomery (1807-1877) and James Hume Greenfield (c. 1830). The slides are primarily of Ms. Hopkins' artwork, dating 1974, 1978, 1981 and 1982.

Subject file

Consists of 36 subject files, with correspondence related to the following: family, friends, paintings, <span style="text-decoration:underline">The Painted Cougar</span>, the film "Hoppy," and miscellaneous activities of Hopkins. Also included is information about Gerard Manley Hopkins and Frances Ann Hopkins, and articles about Elisabeth Hopkins or by her relatives and friends. Correspondents include David Robinson of Talon Books, the painter Molly Bobak, and various friends and family. Ms. Hopkins' birth, baptism and citizenship certificates, her unfinished autobiography "The Rolling Stone Nurse," copies of her stories <span style="text-decoration:underline">The Painted Cougar</span> and <span style="text-decoration:underline">Pig Tale</span>, and records of painting sales are also in this series.

Chronological

This grouping contains a variety of textual material accumulated by Ms. Hopkins, such as notebooks, autograph albums, an address book, a diary, an engagement calendar, a letter from Mackenzie King with an autographed photo, passports and magazines. Also included is the Ogden family genealogical chart (oversize).

Graphic materials

Series consists of 15 bound or coil sketchbooks and many loose drawings, paintings, and four small engraved metal plates (n.d.). Subjects of sketches include human figures, plants, landscapes, cats, birds, etc.

Guidebooks

Includes information about Puget Sound, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Stockholm, Jersey, Canterbury, Middlesex Hospital and Scotland.
Also contains a photo (1987).

<span style="text-decoration:underline">Girl Talk</span>

Includes fiction by Peggy Hopkins. <span style="text-decoration:underline">The Weekend Sun's Today Maqazine</span> (December 1990) Includes an article about the women of Galiano. <span style="text-decoration:underline">Playboard</span> (June 1981) Includes a watercolour by Elisabeth Hopkins.

Cassette tapes

Series consists of three tapes which are interviews with Ms. Hopkins, as well as a recording of T.S. Eliot's Practical Cats, and a BBC recording of the marriage between Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
