These sketches were commissioned for an article on UBC in the ILN, 22 September 1956 (pages 467-470). Some have captions or notes attached, and notes on the verso regarding those printed in the ILN. The Library acquired them in January 1991. The drawings include the UBC Library's interior, the Library from the outside, the exterior of the Science Building, view looking north from the top of the Science Building, Brock Hall, the War Memorial Gym, the Wesbrook building, and an experiment in a laboratory in the Science Building.

Fonds consists almost entirely of materials created or acquired by Harry Adaskin throughout his life and career. It includes the manuscripts for his autobiographies, correspondence, scripts for radio broadcasts and lectures, newspaper clippings, and concert programmes, photographs, films, and audio recordings. Also included are annotated copies of Adaskin's two autobiographies: A Fiddler's World (published in 1977), and A Fiddler's Choice (1982). Some outside correspondence addressed to his wife Frances after his death is also included. The fonds consists of Coulthard's incoming family and general correspondence, correspondence from noted English composer Elizabeth Poston, financial records, biographical information, printed material and clippings documenting her involvement in the Canadian and International music communities as an advocate, educator and composer. Also included are original manuscripts of Coulthard's compositions and published and unpublished sound recordings of her work performances. The fonds also contain scrapbooks assembled by Coulthard's mother, Jean Robinson Coulthard, between 1898 and 1929, family photographs, and a photograph album compiled by her father, Dr. Walter Coulthard, depicting the Rossland area (ca. 1902).

Binning, B. C.
The fonds consists of eleven audiotapes, comprising over four hours of interviews with well-known Canadian artists, including B.C. Binning and Jack Shadbolt. The fonds consists of a single audiotape series, arranged alphabetically. In these interviews, Adaskin examines each artist's unique creative process through probing and often unorthodox questions.
The fonds reflects Philip J. Thomas’ involvement with the folk song community. This includes his research into British Columbian folk songs and his publications on the subject. The fonds also reflects his role as an art teacher, including cards he received from his students and photographs of paintings created by his students. The fonds also contains evidence of his personal life and career, both prior to and during his involvement with the folk song community, and some evidence of his role as a musician, including records related to performances and musical composition.
Material includes articles, music sheets, correspondence, photographs, and a film reel. The first three accruals of the fonds were arranged into three series: Research, Publications, and Folk Song Societies and Festivals. Upon receiving the 2020 accrual, the archivist added the following three series: Music, Art, Personal and Career.

Included in the fonds are administrative records (1964-1984) as well as records that document the activities associated with Congregation (1950-2006), building openings (1951-1986) and numerous functions sponsored by the University (1962-1995). The fonds also include information about honorary degree recipients, congratulatory greetings to Presidents K. George Pedersen (1983), David Strangway (1985) and various other ceremonial activities. The fonds consists of project background and administrative information as well as student-generated material arising from their oral interview exercise. The student material consists of two parts generated in 1987 and 1988. The first (Box 2) includes copies of questions, transcripts and student comments on the interviews. The inventory also lists the oral history tape number. The second includes only a copy of the students’ commentary.
The fonds consist exclusively of incoming correspondence from writer George Woodcock to Campbell as co-editor of Atropos. With his letters, Woodcock also included four typescript poems and an essay on Simone Weil published in Atropos. Woodcock also sent Campbell a typescript copy of his unpublished play The Floor of the Night.

It includes 80 5 ¼ inch computer floppy disks containing different versions in digital format of Slater's works of fiction dating from 1981 to 1998. All digital manuscripts were originally typed in plain-text format on DOS 3.1 or 3.2. The fonds also includes a heavily-annotated copy of the second (2003) edition of Slater's Orwell: The Road To Airstrip One.

Queer Arts Festival
This collection consists of ephemera that celebrates gender performance and lesbian identities. Materials span a wide time period, capturing both early and late 20th century LGBT culture.
In particular, there is a significant part of the collection dedicated to ephemera and published materials that feature early 20th century gender impersonators. Developed out of the English music hall scene of the 19th century, male impersonators in the early 20th century were primarily vaudeville acts that toured the United States. Their audiences were predominantly male with a focus on comedic delivery, something that represented a shift in the male impersonator tradition from the earlier 19th century.
Well-known male impersonators include Vesta Tilley, who was an active performer from the 1870s until the 1920s, and Hetty King, who performed from the 1890s until her passing in the 1970s. Both are featured in a number of postcards that are part of the collection.
The collection also includes several early 20th century anti-suffrage postcards that depict women in relationships with each other (as opposed to men) and include phrases that suggest they have supplanted a man’s role. Other items include a souvenir photograph and accompanying paper frame from a 1930s entertainment venue, the Howdy Club, and 6 negatives of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt taken in 1939.
The collection also features materials from the 1980s and 1990s that belonged to Snider during that period. Highlights include several off-air recordings of episodes of the Vancouver Co-Op Radio show, ‘The Lesbian Show’ as well as t-shirts from the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria Womyn’s Centres.

The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).
The fonds consists of the research on Le Fanu conducted by Roy Stokes. Records relate to the personal life and professional writing career of Le Fanu that were collected and composed by Roy Stokes. The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, financial records, course outlines and materials, papers submitted to the Medieval Workshop, and video recordings. The records reflect the Committee's involvement in devising an interdisciplinary course of study (1972-1977) for students interested in the medieval field, and the Committee's role in organizing the annual Medieval Workshop at UBC (1973-1979). The video recordings are from a series entitled Beyond the Memory of Man in which members of the Committee appeared.

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests.
