The fonds consists primarily of subject files created and accumulated by Amy Dalgleish relating to various organizations in which she was involved such as the New Democratic Party and the Vancouver Society of Friends for the Elderly as well as social issues such as breastfeeding. The fonds also contain records from Ms. Dalgleish’s 1956 legal case before the B.C. Supreme Court on the right of a woman to use her maiden name on probate documents, as well as correspondence related to her various areas of political engagement.
The fonds consists of records pertaining to Turner's activities in the CCF and the NDP in British Columbia. Included are manuscripts of Vancouver Workers' Theatre dramas and poetry, subject files on Israel, clippings, pamphlets on cooperative farming, and records from the CCF Agricultural Committee and the Trade Union Committee.

Douglas as well as a large series from Gretchen Steeves dated 1950-1965 relating to her political activities and describing CCF philosophy. Articles, speeches and broadcast transcripts by and about Cameron ranging 1940 to 1968 reflect his political interest and involvement.
The fonds consists of records chronicling the growth of socialism in Canada and the formation and history of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation and the New Democratic Party, as well as with various aspects of the issues of human rights and of peace and disarmament. There is also autobiographical material and records pertaining to Unitarianism.

Federation of Labour, Canadian Congress of Labour (1970-1984), Ontario Federation of Labour (1972- 1977), the provincial and federal CCF and NDP, as well as other material pertaining to labour and politics. There are also tapes of radio broadcasts and material relating to Thayer's personal interests.
