The IABC fonds reflects the community collecting practices that the IABC undertook to preserve the history of Icelanders in British Columbia. Fonds is arranged in eight subfonds that reflect the various community organizations from which the archives originally collected.

Fonds documents the IABC’s commitment to preserving the lived experiences of its Icelandic community and is arranged into seven series that correspond to the IABC’s activities: administration and operation; providing educational programs and collecting biographies as well as written and oral histories; collecting Icelandic music; compiling a collection of Icelandic newspapers and publications; holding exhibits and events; acquiring photographic collections; and lastly acquiring collections of textual records, ephemera, and artifacts from its community.

Fonds also contains eight other subfonds of textual, photographic, audiovisual, and ephemeral material of Vancouver-based Icelandic Societies including the Sólskin Society, the Icelandic Canadian Club of British Columbia (ICC of BC), the Icelandic National League of North America (INL of NA), Icelandic Care Home Höfn Society, the Scandinavian Cultural Society (SCS), Ströndin Internet Radio, the Danish Archives, and the Icelandic Lutheran Church.

Collection consists of records collected by Catherine B. Clement towards her research project on the 1923 Chinese Exclusion Act that will mount a 100th year commemorative exhibition in 2023. The collection includes Chinese Immigration and other registration and identification certificates contributed by individuals, families and organizations across Canada.

The fonds contains essays, lab notes, class notes and theses created and acquired by Lois and Ralph during their time as post-secondary students. The fonds is divided into two series: Ralph Cudmore’s Student Records and Lois Cudmore’s Student Records. The archivist arranged the records of Lois and Ralph by chronological order and course name where applicable.

Fonds consists of 370 black and white negatives taken between 1917 and 1924. The images are primarily of UBC students at the University's original Fairview campus. There are also shots of faculty members. As well as posed individual shots of students, there are many photographs of various student activities including the annual class picnic. Although most of the photographs are not identified they are very important for collectively documenting student life at the University in the late teen’s and early 1920s.

The collection consists of 20 audio recordings one of which is a recording of the UBC 50th anniversary commemorative ceremonies on 1 October 1965, and the others being CBC interviews with prominent alumni and former faculty on 7-8 September 1965.

The fonds consists of records produced by Jim Wong-Chu, records associated with Jim Wong-Chu's involvement in various cultural and artistic communities in Vancouver, British Columbia, San Francisco, California, and other areas in the northwestern United States and Canada.

In particular, the fonds includes records related to: Canadian cultural and literary communities; Asian Canadian writers; social justice and historical issues related to discrimination of Chinese and other Asian ethnic groups; and Canada and Vancouver's Chinese and other Asian cultural communities.

The fonds consists of Haig-Brown’s memorabilia from her time at UBC from 1953 to 1956 and includes printed/published materials and ephemera.

Fonds consists of textual material, graphic material and artifacts related to Ron Bick Lee’s activities as a businessman, a community leader and a member of his immediate and extended families in Vancouver and back in mainland China and Hong Kong. The material includes correspondence, business related documents such as invoices and ledger books, and his community involvement related documents. The material also contains photographs, newspaper and magazine clippings, other personal collections such as rubber stamps, birthday congratulations, self-learning notes and so on. The fonds reflects Bernard and Jean Webber’s functions as leading members of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation, teachers and education administrators, and advocates for local arts, history and Indigenous cultural regeneration. Materials related to Indigenous arts, education and reconciliation are found throughout the fonds. Correspondence is its own series and is also found throughout, including copies of outgoing business correspondence.

The fonds consists exclusively of news photography captured by Kelowna Capital News staff from 1978 through 2000. Coverage includes events, persons, and locations assessed as newsworthy at the time, predominantly concerning Kelowna and its immediate adjacencies. Attributed photographers include Val Gluschenko, Glen Schaefer, Rainer Ziegenhagen, Larry Langton, Mike Condon, Maev Brennan, Paul Saturley, Mark Zuehlke, Gordon Bazzana, Kevin Bird, and Allyson Jeffs.

The fonds consists of handwritten and typed manuscripts of short stories [n.d.], a painting of a seascape (1933), and a scrapbook filled with assorted memorabilia gathered between 1916 and 1933.

Fonds reflects Minoru Kudo’s involvement within the Japanese Canadian community both before and after World War II as well as the Kudo family’s experience of forced removal and its impacts on their lives moving forward. If offers insight into the actions taken by the British Columbia Securities Commission during the process of the forced removal of Japanese Canadian families from B.C. and the advocacy work of Japanese Canadians, as individuals and through groups such as the National Association of Japanese Canadians, to receive redress following the end of the war, both through the The Royal Commission on Japanese Claims(the Bird Commission) and outside of it. In addition to these materials, the fonds also illustrates the work of younger generations of Japanese Canadians to uncover and reconnect with their history. The fonds contains research files from the Kudo family, who worked to document and bring together recollections of the Mission City Japanese community as it existed before the war and where families were for forcibly removed to during it, as well as the Kudo family’s history specifically. A significant portion of the fonds is the translation work done by Kathleen Merken on Minoru Kudo’s diaries.
The materials are arranged into three series, reflecting the different time periods and purposes in which the documents were created. The Minoru Kudo diaries and correspondence series contains the original diaries and correspondence of Minoru Kudo as well as photocopies that were made by Kathleen Kudo for reference and preservation purposes. The translations series contains records relating to the translation of the diaries by Kathleen Merken, research files were used to add context to the translations, and the translations themselves. The family records series contains genealogical research files, files documenting the deaths of various members of the Kudo family, and some personal records of Kathleen Merken that speak to her academic history and work.

Fonds consists of two Senate reports from 1961 and 1962 relating to fraternities and sororities on the UBC campus and a copy of McCrae's speech on sororities during a Panhellenic workshop in 1972.

The fonds consists of indexes and research notes to sources of information about women at UBC, recordings of oral histories, and a photograph.

Fonds consists of minutes, agendas, financial statements, reports, surveys, publications, news releases, and transcripts relating to Community Relations activities and programs. It also includes subject files containing information concerning UBC organizations. The fonds consists of records made and received by Laurenda Daniells in her professional and personal life. The fonds documents her involvement and participation in conferences, and various professional archival associations, such as ACA, SAA, ARMA, etc., and Vancouver Historical Society. Also included are records of Laurenda’s time with the UBC’s Faculty Association and her research on university archives policy and copyright. The fonds contain incoming and outgoing correspondence to family, friends, and colleagues from other organizations. Textual records are memorandums, meeting agendas and minutes, reports, programmes, proposals, notes, drafts, papers, proposals, surveys, newspapers, a speech by Daniells, correspondence, and photographs.

Fonds consists of a bound, hand-written minute book for the 1917-1918 school year and a typewritten proposed constitution and by-laws dated March 1949.

Fonds consists of one file folder of materials collected or acquired by W. Orson Banfield during his time at UBC, including event programmes, correspondence, and a matriculation certificate; and six photographs documenting the 1922 Great Trek.

Fonds consists of materials used by interviewers, completed questionnaires, audio recordings and transcripts of interviews conducted, computer data, and published papers and speeches about the study by Gregg, de Wolf, and others.

The records of the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are representative of the athletics side of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. While athletics and recreation fall under the same department, in practice, they operate independently of one another. Their textual records are also physically held at separate locations. Surviving records in the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are broadly representative of the achievements of UBC athletes and teams. Far less extensive, are the types of administrative documents produced or accumulated in the course of the day-to-day business of the department. Examples of records present in the fonds include programs, historical research, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, team rosters, scoresheets, profile write-ups, yearbooks, media guides, correspondence, agendas, training schedules, coaching handbooks, travel itineraries, and ephemera.
The Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds is arranged in the following series; Athletics photographs, Athletics History, Baseball, Basketball, Athletic Events (including Big Block, Hall of Fame, and Millennium Breakfast), Cross Country Track and Field, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Ice Hockey, Media & Promotions, Assorted Sports, Other Sports (which includes Skiing, Sailing, Tennis, Gymnastics, Rowing and Wrestling), Rugby, Soccer, Swimming and Volleyball.

The fonds includes correspondence, minutes, reports, published materials, and photographs. It spans the period between 1957 and 1972, falling within the tenure of Dean Helen McCrae. The material is arranged in the following series: Committee Records, Dean's Records, Women's Residence Records, Handbook Staff and Programmes, Associated Organizations and Social Activities.

The fonds consists of records and ephemera pertaining to John Laurence Russell Meredith and his family from 1863 to 1990. Records and ephemera pertaining to his father’s life are of genealogical interest as they provide insight into who he was. Records pertaining to his sister’s death show the painstaking detail the family took in providing a meaningful burial for her. The UBC ephemera provides a glimpse into Laurence’s social life at UBC. The music and theatre programs show his interest in the arts from a young age. The photographs provide valuable information on who his family was, what Laurence liked to do, and the activities in which he participated. His diary, letters received by him, and a list containing the translation of various words and phrases of the language of the Kwakwaka'wakw First Nation provide insight into who he was as a person.

Fonds consists of a variety of documents and memorabilia acquired by J. Allan Jones during his time as a UBC student, and includes exam papers, dance cards, announcements for 1928 graduating class events, photographs, and his wife's graduation and teacher training certificates.

Fonds consists of scrapbooks on football, baseball and golf clippings from newspapers and sports periodicals, some of Gnup's game strategies, his writings on sports philosophy, and a set of clippings of his column in The Courier, "Gnupermania." Buck organized most of his papers into subject files relating to his activities and arranged them in alphabetical order. The files, in many instances, contain correspondence, reports and memos. The fonds also includes maps, plans, and posters, as well as photographs.

The collection consists of correspondence, photographs, newsletters, and other materials related to the UBC graduating class of 1935 and the various reunions and alumni activities associated with that class.

Fonds consists of materials documenting the early history of UBC’s Alpha Tau Omega (or ATO) fraternity, and later reunions among its alumni members, and includes correspondence, copies of photographs, publications, songsheets, and membership information.

The fonds consists of records reflecting the myriad of activities under the President's Office. Records relating to the university's founding in its earliest days include records of the early days of Medicine at UBC. Records relating to Indigenous Peoples include the teacher training program and "Native Indian Students at UBC." Documents related to faculties and departments, including Applied Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Forestry, Graduate Studies, VP Finance, Administrative Services, VP Faculty and Student Affairs, Dean of Women, Agricultural Sciences, Dentistry, Education, Law, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Also present are records related to Women at UBC, - including reports on the Status of Academic and Non-Academic Women - Senate Committees and the Board of Governors. Meagan Davies part of the midwifery collection consists of 22 DVDs of interviews conducted throughout B.C.

Abra Palumbo collected printed papers kept about the midwifery movement in the 1970s and 80s in B.C. Most of the materials are official forms, manuals, or articles utilized by the midwifery movement.

The fonds consists of printed programs (1963-1969, 1971) and un-dated broadside copies of poems.

The fonds consists of feasibility studies, proposals, functional programs, reports, plans, proposals, lists, drawings, estimates, briefs, design guidelines and agreements generated by Campus and Community Planning between 1959 and 2006. This fonds consists of lists of lecturers, curriculum vitae, minutes, newspaper clippings and photographs; it is divided between administrative and lectures series.

Fonds consists of textual records and photographs and includes legal documents, correspondence, statements of account, and newspaper clippings. The photographs show "The Gables" and are attached to a sheet of cardboard.

Fonds consists of audio recordings of interviews done with seven members of the Faculty Women’s Club.

Fonds consists of administrative records pertaining to the activities of the Women’s Studies Program, the Centre for Research in Women’s Studies and Gender Relations, and research papers put out by the Centre and related bodies. Records include correspondence, minutes, annual reports, publications, course lists, student activities, program advertisements, reviews, bound publications of working papers and conference proceedings.

Fonds consists of family histories, correspondence, reports, printed materials, photographs, notes, minutes, publications, building plans, reminiscences and other materials about Eagles' professional career and personal life. Fonds contains ten series: Biographical Information, Speeches, Publications by Eagles, Personal Correspondence/Subject Files, Research /Lecture Notes, Miscellaneous Personal Materials, Faculty of Agriculture Material, UBC History - General, Miscellaneous Printed Materials and Publications, and Photographs series. Fonds also contains three sous-fonds: L.S. Klink, Wilfred Sadler, and F.M. Clement sous-fonds.

The fonds consists of project background and administrative information as well as student-generated material arising from their oral interview exercise. The student material consists of two parts generated in 1987 and 1988. The first (Box 2) includes copies of questions, transcripts and student comments on the interviews. The inventory also lists the oral history tape number. The second includes only a copy of the students’ commentary.

The fonds consists of one album of photographs taken by Sage between September 1945 and August 1946 at a relocation camp near Tashme, B.C. where she was a social worker. The photographs include general views of the scenery, individuals and groups and some smaller buildings. In addition to the camp shots, there are also pictures of Japanese Canadians preparing for relocation. The album also includes a newspaper clipping, post card and a typescript article about the Tashme Camp. The fonds also includes a small body of correspondence written by Margaret Sage to her parents Walter and Nelda Sage and to her brother Donald (1945/46).

The collection consists of audio recordings and transcripts created from interviews conducted as part of an oral history project to document the evolution of military training on campus. Interviewees discuss campus military organizations and student participation in war as well as peace movements at UBC. The interviews provide information about campus life and the interviewees' extensive experience in the Canadian Armed Services.

Fonds consists of correspondence and reports relating to de Bruyn's duties as a member of the Department of English at UBC. The fonds also include incoming personal correspondence from Roy Daniells (including verses), Earle Birney, Margaret Laurence, Dorothy Livesay and Ethel Wilson. Also included are records from the Lifewriters: copies of stories, correspondence, financial records, and newspaper clippings.

Fonds consists of material created and received by MUSSOC from 1924 to 1989, including executive minutes, reports and correspondence, along with the constitution and by‐laws, budget statements, advertisements and production brochures. Also included are newspaper clippings, posters, musical scores, sound recordings of radio advertisements, rehearsal schedules, rental agreements and professional staff contracts. The records are primarily arranged by production.
